We had our bus driver as Guide Fil (with "F"). He was very motivated and talked a lot about the Hoover Dam, Las Vegas and so on. He also stopped in many places to take photos. It was great fun. The Hoover Dam is worth a trip. It's amazing how tall he is. We were inside the dam and could also see it from the outside. Luckily it wasn't that warm that day. On the way back we stopped at a few places (including the Vegas sign) to take photos.

We had a great time, the driver/guide gave us plenty of supplementary information about Las Vegas and the towns we passed through on the way. The stops at the LV sign and the overlook point were an added bonus. You don't appreciate the height of the bridge until you see it from below. The fact that it's relatively close to LV meant that it's only a half day, leaving plenty of time for other activities in the afternoon.
