Full description
Start with pickup from Las Vegas and travel towards the Valley of Fire, Travel along Lake Mead and reach the first stop of the day, a lesser-known oasis in the middle of the desert. Discover its beautiful crystal clear water flowing in the middle of this arid desolate region in the backcountry of Nevada. Next stop is the entrance sign to the Valley of Fire State Park. See the unusual rock formations of Elephant Rock and the Seven Sisters, before arriving at the visitor center and gift shop. Travel into the loop of the Valley of Fire with its breathtaking red rock formations, where you will see the famous Mouse’s Tank and the Petroglyph Canyon. Next, at Rainbow Vista and Fire Canyon, admire the awesome, ever-changing pink and pastel colors and then make your way to the Fire Wave. Enjoy a picnic lunch under the White Domes and learn a bit more about the history of the area. After lunch, take a leisurely walk through White Domes Canyon and see an old Hollywood movie set. Then, discover the 4,000-year-old petroglyphs at Atlatl Rock. See some very rare early-Native American sketches which adorn the many rocks throughout the valley. As you make your way out of the Park, see the eroded sandstone and sand dunes which are thought to be 150 million years old. Finally, be returned to your hotel in Las Vegas.
