1. From Reykjavik: Golden Circle and Glacier Snowmobiling
Board the bus at the BSI Bus Terminal and drive off to experience the different geothermal landscapes of Iceland's legendary Golden Circle. Stop at Þingvellir National Park, known for its exceptional beauty and historical importance as the site of the world's first parliaments. Continue into the hot springs area of Geysir, before driving to Langjökull to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime adventure activity! Take control of a snowmobile – or travel as a passenger – to explore the vast white ice cap of Langjökull for an hour. Make your way back to Reykjavík via the spectacular Gullfoss Waterfall and gaze in wonder as the Hvítá River thunders into a 32-meter deep canyon.
It was a great trip but I think the time traveling should be explained in the brief as this is quite a lot of the time out....also the actual time you get on the snowmobile was very misleading. We had half that time and the experience was very disappointing. It should explain that you literally go up and around in a circle following everyone which was very un impressive and not worthy at all of the cost of this. Next time I would probably not bother doing the snow mobiling as I felt it wasn’t a true experience of what it was Described as.
2. Langjökull Glacier: Ice Cave and Snowmobile Tour
Park your car at Gullfoss Café and be stunned by the monster trucks and super jeeps from that await your arrival. Your driver will greet you and then begin your journey to the glacial highlands of Iceland, from Gullfoss to Langjökull glacier. Enjoy the epic scenery on the way. There is a usually impassible road but the massive machinery eats through it, which is an adventure on its own. Once at the glacier, step out of the monster truck and into the glacier hut to collect snowsuits and other accessories to keep you warm during the snowmobile ride. When suited up, head to the rows of snowmobiles. The guide will go through the details of how to operate the snowmobile, which is quite easy. After the introduction, select your snowmobile and wait for the guide to signal to go. Ride along the glacier with good visibility to emerge in epic surroundings of lava formed rock mountains. A total...
First I want to say, when booking on this website, be sure to notice that you can change the currency rate on a tab in the upper corner, I did not see this and was charged more than expected. Luckily, I was able to speak with the customer service team and they refunded me based on my currency that I had thought I was paying, which was very good of them and much appreciated. The experience was amazing! We went in December and had a great weather day, although windy and chilly but great day for a ride. You are given zip up suits, gloves and a helmet. The cons: The staff wasn’t the friendliest and wish we could have snowmobiled a little more off course, but I understand the safety of it. The ice cave was cool but small so you don’t spend much time in there. Overall, it was a lot of fun and an amazing experience, how many people can say They snowmobiled on a glacier?!!
3. Pearl Tour Golden Circle Super Jeep Tour & Snowmobiling
Begin your tour at Thingvellir National Park, one of Iceland‘s most significant historical sites. It‘s the home of the country's first parliament which was founded in 930 AD and is the oldest extant parliamentary institution in the world. From Thingvellir, head inland towards the highly active Geysir hot spring area, with it's boiling mud pits and spouting hot springs. Continue on to Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most powerful waterfalls. Located on the Hvítá river, the waterfall is fed by the Langjökull glacier and plummets down 32 meters in two stages into a rugged canyon. Top your day off with a drive towards Langjökull glacier, where you will drive a snowmobile and dash across the snowfields while gazing at the peaks and ice surrounding you.

Drive across the summit of Iceland on a 9-hour scenic tour and see some of the nation’s most austere inland roads. Departing from Reykjavik in a Mountain Taxi Super Jeep, make your way towards Kaldidalur (Cold Valley), traveling alongside the western part of the Langjökull Glacier. Pause to get up close to this miracle of Mother Nature, and then veer north to stop at a lava cave named Surtshellir. Centuries ago, caves like Surtshellir were inhabited by outlaws! Today, they are simply breathtaking examples of nature at work. Feel the spray of the Hraunfossar waterfalls on your face as you watch them flowing into the glacial River Hvita from beneath tree-covered lava fields. Next, the tour drives through the historic site of Reykholt, home to Iceland’s famous chieftain and historian Snorri Sturluson. What people are saying about Langjökull Glacier
Best thing ever!
We booked the golden circle and snowmobiling experience on a glacier. Although the golden circle was good and very interesting, and our guide informative and knowledgable, it was a very touristy trip and something we wouldn’t normally do. The snowmobiling on the other hand.....well words fail! We have never experienced anything like that and we have travelled the world! It felt such a privilege to be able to stand and look out over miles of unspoilt, sparkling whiteness - but how long until it has gone? Who knows
We went with kid of 7 and 11 years old and we passed a great day. We did it in October and was cold but not so much. The ride last like almost 3 hour but every body get shoes wet ‘cause the ice was melting so know this !
This tour covered it all! Waterfall, geiserjs, nationalpark and of course the glacier and snowmobiling!
Great experience on the glacier, everything is planned to have a good time without getting cold!
Great tour - amazing scenery and super experience with the snowmobiles!!
