The tour takes you to a number of historic eateries, modern cafes, and trendy restaurants where you can sample the true gastronomic wonders of this city. During the tour, get a sense of authentic life in Como while mingling with the locals and listening to stories about the city’s history and culinary culture. Start the day off right with a traditional lunch in a historical wine shop. Settle in for a chop-board of high-quality cured meats and a lovely glass of local wine.  Head then for some gourmet pizza, because you can't miss this pillar of Italian street food while in Como. In a delicious, historical bakery, snack on a slice of pizza like the locals do — while walking.  Continue the walking tour with a stop for a polenta dish, the queen of the table in the Como area as well as in the whole Alpine region. Polenta here is produced by mixing corn and buckwheat flour, and is served with braised meat or cheese and melted butter. In Valtellina dialect "sciat" means toad, but this delicacy is actually a delicious and crunchy pancakes with a cheesy center. Sample a sciat and then the delicious Nuvola cake, translating literally to "cloud." While the shape resembles that of a large plumcake, the texture is something halfway between panettone and pandoro, but much softer — precisely like a cloud — and it is filled with apricot jam. Alternatively, you can enjoy a delicious ice cream while walking along the romantic lakeside promenade. Conclude the tour with a coffee, because any respectable Italian lunch can only end with a tasty espresso.

We spent the day on the slow boat up to the beautiful town of Domaso, which was an amazing experience in itself. Then greeted by Silvia, the daughter of the vineyard founders, who explained fantastically, the history of the vineyard, each of the 3 wines, how they are produced and why they taste as they do. The three fanatic wines (we had to buy some )served with meats, cheese and salads at tables overlooking the lake and mountains. This, for wine lovers, is a must do on lake Como.

This was such a lovely experience, the views from the vineyard are spectacular. It was also really good value for what we got. The only thing I would say is it’s very high up the hill and is quite a difficult walk. It was fine for me and my husband but we had some older people in our group who struggled to get up. I think you can get a taxi if need be.

Nice place, good wines and very friendly people. Cozy vibe and stunning views. The only problem was to find the place even though we were using the Google maps it has sent us up the hill when the winery was 800m down. Wonderful experience and certainly recommend it.

Our guide Peirre was EXCELLENT. he had deep knowledge of food and really curated an excellent walking tour and experience for us! I was really happy to have met him.
