Embark on an awe-inspiring scuba diving excursion perfect for beginners with no certification required. Experience what it's like to breathe underwater and swim with the fish off the coast of Lahaina. Benefit from personal attention on a small group excursion for no more than 4 people. Begin with a short classroom session where your PADI certified instructor will help you suit up and brief you on your upcoming journey. Learn how to breathe through a regulator, manage your buoyancy, and safely swim underwater with all the necessary equipment. Soon you'll be ready for an ocean dive with your instructor at one of Maui's tropical beaches. Once in the calm clear island waters, take in the magnificent surroundings filled with tropical reef fish, turtles, and rays. Explore beautiful seascapes teeming with interesting sea life you may have never seen before.

Learn the basics of diving under the supervision of a PADI professional instructor. Before your dive, enjoy access to the PADI eLearning platform to study the skills you'll need during your dive. Then, set out to spot Maui's tropical fish, turtles, and colorful reefs on a dive with your instructor. When you book your Discovery Dive, you'll be assigned an eLearning login that gives you access to reading and video materials that need to be completed before you arrive at the dive shop. On the day of your dive, your instructor will go over the eLearning materials and brief you about the basic skills you will need in the water. Then, head to the dive site and practice skills with your instructor. Once you feel confident, enjoy a dive with your instructor and have fun exploring Maui’s pristine coral reefs.

Before you get started, your instructor will get you geared up with a surfboard, long-sleeve UV rash guards, and water shoes. Leave everything you do not want to get wet or whatever that does not float in the cubicles provided at the surf shop. On the beach, listen to a brief 15-minute land lesson to go over safety measures and procedures from your surf instructor. When you are ready, head into the water to get started. Receive expert advice on how to ride a wave and learn to surf. After your wave is complete, head back to the designated waiting area until the instructor signals for your turn again. As an added bonus, there will be a professional photographer taking close up shots of you throughout your surf lessons.  The private surf lesson is 90 minutes in total from the time you leave the surf shop to when your instructor signals you back in from the water. Once the class is over, you will carry your surfboard back to the shop and then head back to the beach to shower off in fresh water. Return all your surf gear back to the shop and check out your surf lesson photos which are available for purchase. 

Enjoy an interactive workshop-style dive with a focus on sustainability, conservation efforts, and ocean awareness. Begin at the dive shop where you will meet your certified instructor, then choose one (or more) of the workshop topics. Eco-dive topics include coral reef ecology, reef cleanup, sea turtle education, shark education, interactive fish identification, and a buoyancy workshop. Whichever eco-dive topic(s) you focus on, your passionate and experienced dive guide will customize the dive session to your interests and give your dive purpose. During the workshop, learn how to be a citizen scientist and contribute to research that protects the oceans and their flourishing ecosystems. Before you know it, you'll be ready to gear up and take off to your dive spot for a fascinating offshore eco-dive. Develop concrete skills for protecting the marine environment during your dives while receiving insights on improving your buoyancy, and much more. Benefit from a small-group adventure with no more than 4 divers per instructor. After your dive, you'll have the opportunity to debrief about all the marine wildlife and abundant coral reefs you observed while exploring the crystal clear blue waters of Maui.

After making your way to the meeting point, climb aboard an eco-friendly dive boat and prepare for an awe-inspiring two-tank dive with experienced dive instructors who are trained biologists and ecologists.
