Full description

Depart Kyiv and journey to Chernobyl to explore the infamous site of the nuclear disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in April 1986. Benefit from a complimentary lunch, pre-arranged permits to enter the Chernobyl Exclusion Zones and the services of an expert guide exclusive to you. See the impact of the disaster 30 years after the event. From the moment you enter the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, you will experience an almost post-apocalyptic world. Explore the now almost abandoned site, and learn how the residents were evacuated in the aftermath of the tragedy. Pass the deserted village of Zalecie and see half-destroyed buildings hidden behind trees. Go to the Cold War defense antenna of Duga 1, known as the "Russian Woodpecker" for the noise it used to make. Stroll the streets of the ghost town of Pripyat, built in 1979 for the people who worked at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and their families. Learn how they were evacuated following the explosion in reactor number 4. See the ghost-like amusement park and its Ferris wheel, a former house of culture and a derelict swimming pool. Safety will always be uppermost during the day, but your guide will show you everything you need to see and acquaint you with dramatic statistics connected to the disaster. Before you leave the Exclusion Zone, pass the security control to check for radiation levels on your clothes. Return to Kyiv for a drop-off at your hotel at the end of the tour services.

Super guided and private tour = D

The money is always worth it, much better than with a larger group, because you are more flexible and can avoid the masses.
