Full description

Head four meters below the ground to uncover the mysteries of Krakow's past. After taking a thorough tour of the Main Square, walk down to its underground passageways to visit Rynek Museum. Learn about the city's history from its early days and see the exposed foundations of medieval constructions.

Follow your guide on a fascinating journey back into the Middle Ages. Begin by strolling around the Main Square, between the Cloth Hall and St Mary's Basilica. Take in the modern sights of the area before traveling down to see what it once looked like.

Step into the mystifying Rynek Underground Museum to experience what the Main Square looked like 750 years ago. Immerse yourself in the history of what once was the setting for ceremonial meetings between kings and foreign envoys, and a place where valuable materials were traded.

With a little bit of imagination and help from your guide, discover the atmosphere of the medieval Market Square while walking along the underground route. Admire the exposed foundations of former commercial buildings, medieval roads, hygienic utensils, and authentic 11th-century tombs.

End your journey back at the Main Square, where you may choose to enjoy a delicious dinner at one of many local restaurants recommended to you by your guide.

My guide, Dominika Bednarczyk, was absolutely amazing! Her English was perfect and she provided concise and interesting information about every exhibit in the museum. Well educated about the general history of the city and other popular historic locations. She even told me a few famous urban legends! Friendly, helpful and answered every question I asked. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone!
