Full description
The "Lady with an Ermine" portrait embodies the Renaissance ideal of an image as an illusion of natural vitality. Da Vinci managed to achieve this thanks to his detailed knowledge of anatomy, and his skill with light features. Combining these he was able to create a three-dimensional figure on the image plane. The original background, which was painted over in black in the 19th century, was also modeled with light just like the figure, which must have added to the impression of the model emerging from the shadows. The painting was purchased in Italy in around 1800 by Adam Jerzy, the son of Princess Izabela Czartoryska, and later donated to the Museum in Puławy. The portrait became the property of the Republic of Poland in 2016. In addition to the museum mentioned above, you get access to 37 other museums in Krakow that you can visit for free with the Krakow card. Small but really nice museum whose strong points are obviously The Lady with an Ermine and the paintings by Rembrandt. I booked with Get Your guide and then wrote to the museum to indicate the preferred time for the visit. From the museum they immediately responded by creating a reservation. The Gyg voucher must be printed and brought on paper because it is kept at the desk. In any case, an excellent experience, an unmissable stop on a visit to Krakow.

Beautiful structure of the museum ... very well kept. On the other hand, Get Your guide did not specify in the booking of the tickets that it was also necessary to print them. When the e-mail for the tickets to be printed arrived it was of a format not supported by the mobile phone (I have both the wps and Adobe Reader for PDF) ... And if it wasn't for the girl inside the Get your Guide nn point I could have paid the visit.
