Full description
The name "Auschwitz" is synonymous with atrocity and secrets clouded by mist. In this somber and eerie place we confront our history and reckon with some of the most difficult lessons of our time. Despite its darkness, Auschwitz is a place that simply must be visited and our day together will give you insight into the way this camp was run, the world of those who lived and died here and why it is that we must never forget this period of history. The museum areas of Auschwitz-Birkenau include approximately 150 buildings and 300 ruins. See the roads, fences, watchtowers and rail ramps coupled with interesting and informative exhibits and documentation. Auschwitz is a place that continually reminds us of man's fragility while underscoring the gift of human life. On this day trip from Krakow, discover this site and learn about one of the darkest epochs in human history.

I really enjoyed this tour. Met some people on the bus ride there and made some new friends. The tour was excellent and gave very in depth information on both camps. The tour.guides were very educated on the subject. I encourage you to take this tour with this company. Great price too!

A successful trip

The day trip from Auschwitz to Birkenau was a success. At the starting point in Krakow, the Get Your Guide was quiet and not much exchange of words between the group and the guide. Everyone got a tag on their chest and after that we followed the guide in line for the bus. Maybe we needed some little verbal information about what’s going on, schedules, etc. Along the way, we were shown an impressive documentary about the release of Auschwitz. We went to the destination by bus and on arrival the group was divided into smaller groups led by local guides. The guide on site was knowledgeable. However, there was a small traffic jam at the destination so it was sometimes difficult to get the group together during the tour. A successful day as a whole. Guided tour, but requires active participation from the participant to stay with the group.

Places to discover when staying in Krakow

An hour's drive, pick-up near the hotel. Very competent guide. The information is complete with a French speaking Guide very respectful of the place in his way of dialoguing / communicating. We had enough time to visit the main places. More in-depth (therefore longer) visits are possible. But for us it was enough. We are delighted with this experience which marks the spirits.
