Krabi: Private Trip to Tiger Cave Temple & Waterfall

8. Krabi: Private Trip to Tiger Cave Temple & Waterfall

Visit 3 main attractions of the Krabi jungle on this private day trip. You can visit Wat Tahm Suea (the Tiger Cave Temple), Sra Morakot (the Emerald Pool), and the natural hot spring. Firstly, you can explore the Tiger Cave Temple, aptly named because of the rock outgrowth nearby resembling a tiger’s claw. The temple is known as a meditation center and its spectacular setting in the Ao Luk Thanu mountain range provides the necessary quiet atmosphere perfect for meditation. Venture 1,200 steps to the hill top for the view of Krabi and its limestone rock formations. Discover and swim in the Emerald Pool/Crystal Lagoon, a freshwater pool inside the Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve. The waters of this 120-square-meter pond take on a green hue, thanks to an abundance of minerals from the surrounding limestone hills. On the final stage of your tour, you will visit the Krabi Hot Spring, located in the jungle 40 kilometers south of Krabi Town within the Klong Thom Waterfall. Though the waterfall itself is just a cascade tumbling gently all but a few meters, it is unique in that the spring water that feeds it bubbles up from the earth at temperature of more than 50 degrees celsius. It cools a bit as it flows to the cascade and you can swim in the calm stream below for a much cooler bath. At the conclusion of your tour, you will be returned to your Krabi accommodation.

I really enjoyed this trip. The guide was speaking good English, very polite and friendly and really took care of me. I was by myself in this trip so I got all the attention and the opportunity to really feel the beauty and serenity of nature. Lunch was absolutely stunning. So beautifully set up, so many dishes and everything tasted unbelievably good. I requested that there would not be only seafood and expected to have a tiny bit of chicken. Instead, I got 3 dishes of chicken and a dish of egg, and fruits and Thai desserts. I could not ask for more. The visit to the village was a bit less than I expected but still very nice and enjoyable. I understand that Covid is taking its tall on the village and it's not easy to maintain it in 100 percent operation. Still it was interesting and informative. Thank you for the lovely trip. I'll recommend the trip to my peers if they will go visit Krabi.

Tour guide was brilliant. Boat crew were nice. Timely transfer and departures in a comfortable truck. The only problem I have is the huge national park fee 40baht for Thai's and 400b for foreigners. This is criminal and should be illegal in Thailand. Its not the tour operators fault its the government. Any way I opted to stay on the boat and gave my national park fee as a tip to the Thai staff that helped me. Thailand really needs to address this dual pricing issue especially if a non-Thai person lives here like I do. Thank you so much for a memorable day and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The luck box was also very satisfying and fruit aswell as cake too.

Wow, what a beautiful area we got to see and explore. The tour was a little long for us we kinda wished it started at 11 or 12. Got on at 10am and didn’t finish the glowing plankton until 7:30 or so. But we saw so much amazing stuff in one day. Would definitely recommend.

Great experience in times of covid almost no one on the scene, we were able to fully enjoy it. Super friendly guide.

experience was fun. tour guide Max from PhiPhi tours is very accommodating! i really enjoyed the trip.
