Full description
About half way along the coast between Than Bok Khorani and Krabi town is a bay of mangroves that is one of the most beautiful in Thailand. Arrive at the private pier and depart to the mangrove forest area. Here, bays and canyons are like passageways. This recently discovered area is a superb setting for having an encounter with an ecosystem unlike others. This bay is known for its rich fauna. Certainly a highlight of this setting is the narrow channels which are passable during all but extremely low tide periods. Several species of Kingfishers, Little Herons and Crab-Eating Macaques are almost guaranteed sightings in the remains of a jewel of a destination, undeveloped and without being horrendously crowed. Option with Hong Island Visit: Hong Island stands out as the most beautiful island of the Andaman cost. As you approach from the sea, the towering limestone formation & crystal clear water inspires images of the deserted. In the middle of this beautiful island there lies a hidden lagoon spot for local fisherman and also one place where bird nests are collected. The coral reefs here are amazing and siphons can also be found. Option with Sunset and BBQ Dinner: Your final destination on the tour will be Laem Jamoog Kway. Here you can shower off the salt water in the natural spring waters cascading down from the cliff. Take a short climb to witness the best sunset in Thailand. Relax and enjoy the sunset while you wait for your BBQ being prepared at the beach. After finishing your BBQ dinner, you may continue to relax as a Longtail Boat takes you back to the Sea Kayak Pier under a blanket.

Awesome trip! Things were pretty unclear in the beginning - not a lot of communication - but once you’re in the kayak, it is a stunning experience. We did the half day morning trip with no lunch and it was just us & one other traveler with our guide. Most of the groups we saw were at least 10 boats so we felt very lucky! It was the perfect amount of time in the kayak. I would not recommend this trip if you’re not a nature lover or don’t enjoy a good work out. Kayaking is not hard but does require some upper body strength!

This was the highlight of my Thailand trip, well planned, small group, a great guide and beautiful locations and mangroves. We were picked up from our hotel in Ao Nang by 8.50 and the location was a half hour drive. We were then given instructions on how to paddle. It was a small group and it made the experience even better. Views were worth it. This is a must do in Krabi and i glad i booked the tour with them.

Fun experience however very hard work (exhausting) kayaking against the current in the ocean. Would not suit unfit or old people. Was not relaxing as we were constantly kayaking and no time spent resting (except early on at a beach). Half of the mangrove trip was unaccessible due to low tide, so that was a disappointment as we did not get to see everything that we could. Saw a couple of monkeys but no other wildlife. Also went to Hong Island which was beautiful and worth seeing but very crowded. Once again, could not see the lagoon on Hong Island as water level was too low. I thought we would see this by the way it was advertised. The guide was friendly and nice but there was no interaction or explanation during either activity about what we were seeing. I would have particularly liked the guide to explain what we seeing and facts about the nature during the kayak ride but there was nothing. This trip was good, but I must admit, it was not as good as I thought it was going to be.
