I had a great time. My driver Puti picked me up and was great. He told me about local culture and what life was like farming in Bali. I met my Guide Wayan (who is another great knowleagable guy) who gave me my bike, water and helmet and off we went. He took me off into the amazing lava landscape.. absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately the mountain bike route had been shortened due to people complaining that it was too difficult. Maybe give a choice when booking? Wayan agreed to take me a little further which was greatly appreciated. We then rode on to an stunning temple in the lake and then to the hotsprings where I left Wayan. The springs were a little more touristy then I was expecting. But the dip to refresh was very welcome. From there, Puti took me on to the fantastic Amora Bali Restaurant which is sat on the lip of the volcano crater with magnificent views across to Mount Batur and beyond. The food was amazing. After eating my fill at the buffet lunch we headed home.

It was a great day. I could ask everything about the island, the spots where we were, could take my time at the spots and I’ve learned so much about Bali, the nature, the culture, the Hinduism, the vegetation, etc. I can really recommend this tour if you want to really get in touch with the balinese culture.

I had the pleasure of being with Arlan today for my trip around Ubud, and I had a wonderful time! He was very knowledgeable about the places we visited, and provided interesting information about Ubud’s culture. This trip is great to experience, especially if you have limited time in Ubud!
