Full description
Leave Dublin for the day on a truly scenic drive with amazing scenery stretching as far as the eyes can see. You’ll go to Kilkenny, once the medieval capital of Ireland, and home to Ireland’s finest Norman castle. Kilkenny is steeped in history – it was also the location of one of Ireland’s earliest witch trials, the famous story of Dame Alice Kyteler and her servant Petronilla. En route to Glendalough, drive into the wild Wicklow Mountains of County Carlow. Watch as the landscape changes from lush green pastures and gentle valleys, to the glacial valleys of Wicklow Gap. Continue to the monastic city of St. Kevin at Glendalough, best known for the wedding scenes in the blockbuster movie “Braveheart” and famous as the location for the film “PS I Love You.” Once you arrive in Glendalough, you’ll have time to explore one of the most beautiful sights in Ireland, in an area renowned for its magnificent scenery and Monastic ruins that date back to the 10th century.

Daniel is a great guide and has great knowledge. He is very kind and willing to answer questions. Michael is an amazing driver. He made sure we arrived all right. He also had great knowledge about the history of the place. Thank you Daniel and Michael for the Tour we ever had

Good tour, cheap (14 euros), the time at the attractions is enough (about 2 hours per place). If they wish to go longer they should pay a full day tour or go on their own; but 2 hours per place visited, it is more than good since the places are beautiful, but they are not the big deal either.

All great, enough time in Glendalough, if you want you can go or not to see the shepherd dogs. The wiklow stop I think is left over, and maybe I would put a little more time in Kilkenny to be able to enter the castle and see the rest of the town. But all very well.
