we had an awesome day. three things why you should choose this tour. 1st: Paul is an awesome guide and keeps you entertained. he got a lot of knowledge and is super helpful in all means. 2nd the views are spectacular. well and carefully chosen you will see places and look at views you most likely won't see on the ordinary tourist trips. 3rd: so many lovely moments and the stop for lunch at the royal hotel with awesome, basic food makes you feel of being an Australian (at least a bit). sadly, we were so tired due to our arrival in the morning from sydney so Paul possibly felt like "what a quiet group". sorry for that @Paul so my advice is: stay the night before at Katoomba and start the stay less early. we think, every person thinking of a trip should book this one especially in case you want to see spots of nature and breath taking views no usual tourist will see. it is worth every penny. Thank you Paul for widening our knowledge and impressions of Australia in such a way.

  • From Sydney: Boutique Uncharted Blue Mountains Tour

    8. From Sydney: Boutique Uncharted Blue Mountains Tour

Your day starts with the spectacular views offered from Wentworth Falls, overlooking the Jamison Valley. Here you have time to wander the many walks on offer.  At lunch time visit one of the Mountain villages of Katoomba, Leura, or Blackheath with plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops, and galleries to visit. After, continue the journey to discover the Blue Mountains. Options include short guided bush walks, and an abundance of lookouts over the Jamison, Grose, and Megalong Valleys. Next, head down from the mountains for a hands-on Australian native wildlife encounter and the chance to pat a Koala and feed Kangaroos at Featherdale Wildlife Park! Return to Sydney in your luxury tour vehicle.

John was a great driver and guide. Mountains were everything we hoped for. The animal sanctuary was amazing! Only disappointments were the "aboriginal" show which was more about the English and less about the aboriginal culture and dances. Also, $108 was very expensive for the lunch provided. We would not do a lunch included tour again.

Although I am much delayed in leaving this review, as I went on this tour last July, I had to take a moment to HIGHLY recommend this tour, or any with terry for that fact! In my trip to Sydney, this Blue Mountains tour was by far one of the BEST, if not the best experience I had while there. From the friendly, small group environment (which is a lovely way to make some new friends, and I found to be so fun!), to Terry's promptness (he showed up at my hotel right on time, with a smile, even AFTER I had booked the tour quite last minute!), to his thoughtfulness and knowledge (especially of Photography! This is a huge bonus, and I left with the most incredible photos from the day) as well as the incredible opportunity to learn so much from Terry about general information/Australia, truly made for a day I will likely not ever forget. No other tour I have been on anywhere in the world gave me the anything near the quality of this enriching, personalized experience I got with Terry

This was a great tour. The driver/guide, Steve, lives locally and had all the local knowledge to make it memorable. He took us to places that were not on the agenda and told us interesting local stories. Much thanks to Andersons Tours and particularly Steve for a great time John Weir.
