Then, enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch.  Spend the afternoon at Flinders Chase National Park, renowned as a sanctuary for native Australian animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, and echidnas. Admire the rugged coastline on walks around Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks. Stroll down the Admirals Arch boardwalk to a rugged cliff face that reveals the spectacular rock arch formation, a safe haven for playful long-nosed fur seals. Keep a lookout for more kangaroos and wallabies on your return to Penneshaw or your return ferry back to Adelaide. Arrive at approximately 22:40 and be dropped off at your selected Adelaide CBD accommodation.

Have the opportunity to swim with wild dolphins or among seals and snorkel some of Kangaroo Island's stunning coastline. Enjoy an amazing wildlife encounter on an action-packed boat tour. Arrive at The Visitor Information Centre in Penneshaw, where you will be fitted into a wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers and provided with a safety brief. Jump on board the vessel in search of the marine life that inhabits the incredible coastline. Spot the cheeky seals lounging on the rocks and playing in the water. Then, it's time to dive in. These curious seals can be quite interactive and playful and provide a fun snorkelling experience. Finish off with some free time in the souvenir shop to buy eucalyptus oil products. Continue to the Clifford’s Honey Farm shop, home of the famous island homemade honey ice-cream. See a working beehive, taste different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey, and sample and buy honey beauty products to take home as a memento. Lastly, take part in a structured wine tasting with peaceful views of the surrounding vineyard at the False Cape Wines cellar, which was built from recycled wood, jetty timbers, and limestone sourced on the property.  End the tour at the Penneshaw Hotel where you have ample time to have dinner (at your own expense) before returning to the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for your ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.

Day 1: Adelaide to Kangaroo Island Today, an early start is required to catch your 6.45am SeaLink bus transfer from Adelaide CBD to the ferry terminal at Cape Jervis. Board the ferry for a 45-minute cruise to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Your Untamed Escapes Guide will meet you here. Take a scenic drive to Pennington Bay and climb the 500 steps to the top of Prospect Hill, the highest point on Kangaroo Island, for rewarding views and to get your bearings. Pop into Clifford’s Honey to learn all about these fascinating creatures and, of course, do a tasting and visit family-owned Dudley Wines. Come late afternoon, arrive at our eco-campsite, featuring private access to one of Kangaroo Island’s most stunning beaches – Antechamber Bay. Tonight, roll out your swag underneath the billions of stars of the Milky Way and feel an incredible connection with nature. Today we drive approximately 240 km. Day 2: Kangaroo Island After breakfast, add meaning to your trip by taking part in a volunteer conservation effort at the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. This 2,000-hectare wilderness sanctuary is a haven for native wildlife such as koalas, kangaroos, possums, echidnas, reptiles and birdlife. Our conservation work depends on the time of year but may involve seed collecting, tree planting or counting wildlife. Next, visit iconic Flinders Chase National Park, located at the northwestern point of the island. This park is renowned for its rock formations, impressive beaches, and abundant wildlife. At Admirals Arch, wander along a boardwalk as you soak up the serenity and keep your eyes peeled for the resident New Zealand fur seals. Marvel at the Remarkable Rocks, shaped by nature for over 500 million years. Take a bush walk at Weirs Cove before a picnic lunch to refuel. After lunch, it’s time for an incredible wildlife encounter. Seal Bay is home to the third-largest colony of endangered Australian sea lions, with around 800 calling the bay home. Join a 45-minute tour with the National Parks & Wildlife guides. Follow a boardwalk through the dunes down to the beach, and on the way, pass sea lions snoozing or even lying in the middle of the beach path. Back at camp reflect and relax over dinner before rolling out your swag and counting shooting stars. Today, we drive approximately 340 km. Day 3: Kangaroo Island to Adelaide Start the final day of your tour with a morning hike before taking some free time in Kingscote to grab a coffee. Explore the island’s stunning north coast for the remainder of the day. Weave your way through a labyrinth of caves before emerging at the beach voted best in Australia in 2023 – Stokes Bay. Have a picnic lunch, enjoy some free time to snorkel and swim. Head to Penneshaw for your 7.30pm ferry back to the mainland. But we will have time for one last dinner (at own expense), before farewelling your Guide. Once you arrive in Cape Jervis, your SeaLink bus connection will have you back in Adelaide at 11 pm.

If you're a true foody, this is the perfect way to make the most of your cruise stop and get to know the island through its diverse culinary offer. After getting picked up from the port, begin with a scenic drive to Pennington Bay. Take in spectacular views of the Penneshaw coastline as you arrive at a stunning beach, where dolphins and whales can often be spotted. Snap some amazing photos and head out on your food journey. Visit Clifford's Honey to learn about the history of the Ligurian Bee on Kangaroo Island and taste the different honey varieties. Move on to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus, where you can learn how a traditional Australian bush product is made at South Australia's only commercial eucalyptus oil distillery. Hear how the distillation process takes place before going over to Emu Bay and the Lavender Farm for morning tea. Stop at Kingscote for some time off to wander around and make your way to Bay of Shoal Wines for a great wine tasting. Finally, visit Kangaroo Island Spirits for some gin, vodka, and liquor tasting, then be driven back to the cruise ship terminal at Penneshaw.

Take a guided tour and learn how the distillation process takes place. Enjoy a wine tasting at Bay of Shoals Wines, before taking a scenic drive into Kingscote where you will stop at a cafe for lunch at your own expense (optional). Visit Clifford's Honey and learn about the Ligurian Bee, taste the various flavors of honey and have a look around in the gift shop. Visit Kangaroo Island Spirits, enjoy the gin, vodka and liqueur tastings. Finally, make your way to the island's Lavender Farm. Enjoy lavender scones and a drink of tea or coffee before making your way back to your hotel.
