1. Kaneohe: Self-Guided Sandbar Kayaking Experience
Go kayaking in Kaneohe Bay, admire spectacular views, and experience standing on the sandbar. See underwater reefs and coral islands as you paddle. Start your tour at the meeting point in Kaneohe and receive all of the gear and instructions you'll need to enjoy your day. If you want a more adventurous route that includes a long-distance paddle, you can paddle right from the meeting location (weather permitting). You will kayak by a lot more reef formations and have time to snorkel around at least one reef. If you would like a shorter paddle and more direct route to the Kaneohe Bay Sandbar, load your kayak onto your vehicle with our provided pads and straps and head over to the small boat harbor launching point 10 minutes south of Waiahole. Paddle out to sea as you take in scenic views of the Ko'olau Mountains. Keep a lookout for underwater reef and coral islands. Arrive at the sandbar and step onto it for some amazing mountain views. Have the option of snorkeling to get better views of the underwater marine life. Use the provided kayak leash to keep track of your boat without damaging the coral. Return to the meeting point at the end of your experience.
