This is a long day out but totally worth it. We stayed in Cairo for the week, therefore we flew to Luxor, a 1-hour flight at around 6am, we flew back around 8.30pm. We were met at Luxor Airport by our wonderful guide Youla who is from Luxor. Youla is lovely, so friendly and very knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptology. We had the best day with her! We were very excited to visit The Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, Luxor Temple and the mesmerising Karnak Temple – major highlights of our trip all in one day. We had a lovely lunch at a restaurant in Karnak, good options for vegetarians too. Our flight back was delayed and Youla got her thinking cap on and suggested we have a trip on the Nile in a felucca boat, it was beautiful trip on the Nile just before sunset so the light was amazing, and it was a lovely end to an incredible day.

1. Tour guide Fawakeh from Emo Tour Egypt giving brief history of Luxor and keep asking whether have any question to ask 2. After explained for about less than 5 minitues for each visit, I have plenty of free time to take photo myself and she is resting most of time 3. There is another solo traveller bought same package as mine, but his pricing is much cheaper than mine which makes me very disspointed 4. Unexpectedly to brought me to go commercial shop and telling me that this is the school of art. There is no pricing in the shop, each traveller is followed by 1 seller, while the tour guide is drinking tea 5. The tour has ended 3pm, whereas my flight is 6.10pm 6. The tour is asking about tipping before the tour starts and tours ends. If you are very good, I believed customer will giving you tipping without you to keep reminding 7. King of Tut need additional entrance fee of LE 250 which I have paid for USD55, which is 4 times of the entrance fee! 8. Terrible experienced

Absolutely fantastic tour!

Very happy with this tour, it's a long day with an early start but it's completely worth it. My guide Ahmed was incredibly good, friendly and also very informative regarding Egyptology. He answered every question that I asked. If possible then request him as your guide! This tour begins at your hotel where you're met by a representative of Emo tours who makes sure you arrive at the airport. Once arriving in Luxor I met Ahmed who took me to the private car with snacks and water to begin the tour. The tour covers so much in one day and I really didn't feel like I missed out on anything. After visiting many tombs and temples, stopping for traditional egyptian food at a rooftop restaurant, a boat crossing the nile, and seeing various statues; I was then taken back to the airport to return to Cairo. When I landed I was again met by a representative who made sure I got back to my hotel in a minibus. I highly recommend this tour, it is completely private so you almost feel like a VIP!
