Maui Lahaina Group Surf Lesson

1. Maui Lahaina Group Surf Lesson

During your visit to Hawaii, the birthplace of surfing, take a great opportunity to learn how to surf. Experience the calm waters of West Maui which offer perfect conditions for beginner surfers. Take part in a group lesson with a maximum of 5 surfers, which means you will have a ton of opportunity to learn from your professional surf instructor. Before you start, get you geared up with a surfboard, long-sleeve UV rash guards, and water shoes. Leave everything you do not want to get wet or whatever that does not float in the cubicles provided at the surf shop. On the beach, have a brief 15-minute 'land lesson' to go over safety measures and procedures. When your group is ready, head into the water to get started. Each surfer has their own turn to ride a wave and learn to surf. After your wave is complete, you will head back to the designated waiting area until the instructor signals for your turn again. The first few rides usually take some time, but it starts to move faster once everyone starts to get the hang of things. As an added bonus, there will be a professional photographer taking close up shots throughout your lesson.  The group surf lesson is 2 hours in total from the time you leave the surf shop to when your instructor signals you back in from the water. If you do finish early, there is a beach to sit on and wait until the rest of your class is done. Once the class is over, everyone will carry their surfboards back to the shop and then head back to the beach to shower off in fresh water. Return all your surf gear back to the shop and have an opportunity to check out your surf lesson photos which are available for purchase.

For my daughters 16th birthday we did lessons for her and my 10 year old . I was pretty nervous since my 10 year old was definitely the youngest one there . They let me know if she was holding the group back they would bring her back on the beach (which I was okay with ) she stood up and surfed along everyone the entire time ! They both had so much fun and it was the highlight of our trip . Both girls said it was the best thing they did the whole time we were in Hawaii . Their instructor , Tavner , was incredible and would highly recommend ! Also , there is an option to purchase pictures . I did not initially purchase pictures since I brought a camera , but they are pretty far from where I was standing to get a good picture ( I have a old camera ) luckily he ended up taking pictures of my girls and let me purchase at the end , I would recommend this option as you get a lot of pictures for a small price

Carlos was excellent and so was the ride! This was my second time flying with maverick and they have always been exceptional! We were able to see many waterfalls and whales along with some history of the island. Worth every penny as you get to experience the island in a way you aren’t able to without a helicopter. 10/10 will definitely be back again next year!

My wife and I really enjoyed our snorkeling g trip. All the employees were polite and hard working They were also very helpful in correcting our double billing (accident). Our next trip to Maui we will be taking another snorkeling trip

The snorkeling itself was outstanding, but perhaps the highlight was the hospitality and knowledge of the crew! Food was good, and the fresh juices made the cocktails terrific on the ride back. Overall, it was a terrific experience.

Our pilot was great, very knowledgeable about the area and made sure we were getting the most out of the flight.
