Head to the north-eastern part of Georgia, near the Caucasus mountain range and take the opportunity to drive towards Khevi Region, the small highlander village of Juta. Begin your tour by driving from Tbilisi through the famous Georgian Military Road and the Jvari Pass, afterwards continuing towards the village of Juta - a starting point of hiking, from where path leads towards gorgeous Chaukhi mountains. While there, visit the 16th century Ananuri Church and Fortress, the Georgian-Russian friendship monument, and breathtaking views over beautiful Caucasus snowy mountains. On this trip, escape from Tbilisi and experience something different, full of wild nature and remote places with spectacular landscapes and unforgettable impressions.

2. From Tbilisi: Hiking Tour to Gveleti Waterfall and Juta

Depart from Tbilisi on a full-day tour where you will hike through the Caucasus Mountain Range and into the picturesque Jutra Village, stopping at the Dariali Gorge and Gveleti Waterfall along the way. Start your journey at The Rooms Hotel in Kazbegi. During this stop, get an opportunity to eat, have coffee, and relax for an hour. The Rooms Kazbegi’s stylish restaurant is decorated with wooden furnishings and serves international cuisine.  Have a drink in the lobby bar, while meals can be enjoyed on the terrace with a spectacular view over Mount Kazbegi and the Gergeti Trinity Church as well as the surrounding forests and woodlands. Continue along the Georgian Military Highway and see the road’s unique sights before a visit to Dariali Gorge. Discover the two hidden waterfalls here and admire the rivers below them. Next, head over to the Gveleti village, located in Kazbegi, and begin a 1 km hike so you can see the scenic views of the Caucasus. Arrive at the Gveleti Waterfall, which can be translated as "the Snake’s Waterfall”, and be amazed by the breathtaking views of one of the most splendid waterfalls in Georgia.  Afterward, visit the village of Juta, located 2,200 m high above sea level. With only 18 locals surrounded by alpine area, it's a great place to escape civilization. The village is situated on the main hill of the Caucasus mountain range at the source of the river Bakurkhevi.  Lastly, enjoy unforgettable views from Fifth Season Hostel. It's a peaceful place where you can grab a drink and take in the stunning landscape of the multiple mountain Chaukhi peaks. Become entranced with the dreamy location, where clouds and mountains appear to ‘dance’ around each in an impressive performance every second.

3. Off Road Cycling to Mount Kazbegi

Early in the morning, the car will pick you up from wherever you're staying in Tbilisi and drive you to the Kazbegi region through the Georgian military highway. First stop will be at Ananuri fortress (14th—18th century). The fortress stands beside the famous Georgian Military Highway overlooking a beautiful Jinvali lake, with a picturesque landscape. Ananuri architectural complex belonged to the house of the Eristavi of Aragvi - a violent local ruler. The characteristic architectural design of the late medieval period includes a fortress, 2 churches, an old watch tower, prison, and civic buildings. Its high, turreted stone walls protect two churches, a watch tower and a reservoir. The main church facade is beautifully carved with animal, floral and Celtic style patterns. Further along the road you will pass Gudauri ski resort before ascending to a beautiful mountain pass (Jvari Pass). The 4WD car will drive you up to Juta village 25 km from the town of Stepantsminda. Juta village is a remote high mountain village (2200m) with views of the gorgeous Chokhi mountains (3842m highest peak). From the village you'll bike down through Sno river valley which is surrounded by high mountains. You'll pass Old villages, towers, waterfalls. On the way to the village of Stepantsminda, admire the unforgettable view of mount Kazbeg (5.033 m). The ride ends in Stepantsminda at the foot of mount Kazbeg. There you can choose to continue cycling up to the Gergeti Trinity Church (XIV c). The ride contains 6 km challenge of riding up to the altitude 2.300 m (difference in altitude 400 m). Gergeti Trinity Church (XII-XIV) century’s monument erected on the southern slopes of Kazbegi mountain. From one side of the church you can explore the summit of Mount Kazbegi and from the other side, you can take in the wonderful views of the river Tergi Gorge and the surrounding areas. Gergeti Trinity Church is an important temple and remarkable for its beautiful scenery. If the members of the group find it difficult to cycle up Gergeti Trinity Church they could be provided with 4WD car to drive up there (optional).

My wife and me had a fabulous time with our guide, Orto. He was on time and explained to us the rich history of Georgia along the way. There were so many beautiful view of the Caucasus mountain ranges on the long drive to the starting point. We really enjoyed the day hike and the view was spectacular! It is highly recommend to have your lunch at the lake as you soak up the fresh mountain air and gorgeous view. Towards the enjoy, we had a feast with traditional Georgian food. This was definitely one of the top highlights of our trip!

We really enjoyed the company of lado and marina though it was just 4 of us do the hiking, it happened to be an extra amazing and fantastic day having them as our tour guide. Both of them really did a great job explaining and giving more smile to our faces. Alot of fun fact from both of them. We really recommend both of them for this tour. Happy we did.
