The tour was very informative and we saw a lot in the area. In the tour description it says that a pick up from the hotel is included, but when I inserted our hotel it stated that it is not in the pick up area. We could only choose a pick up near Carlton center which according to our hotel was not safe at all. The staff at the hotel organised a pick up from the hotel, but this is definetly something which should be changed since we were not aware that it is not a safe area.

We particularly enjoyed the tour of Soweto. Among other things, we visited the Mandela House and the Hector Pieterson Museum. The museum gives an excellent insight into the apartheid era. Definitely visit, highly recommended! Our guide Phil from the tour operator "African Eagle" was excellent. Phil led through the day with a lot of passion and commitment. Ask for Phil explicitly if you're planning a tour of Soweto. Apparently there are guides of varying quality at African Eagle.
