Toledo: Three Cultures Walking Tour
- Duration options: 2 - 3 hours
Sol, the tour guide was in my opinion quite disorganized and was unable to sustain the attention and interests of the group. With limited time, she could have managed the tour better. At times we would be walking for long periods of time in extreme cold weather. We had to switch buses. She was knowledgeable but lacked people skills. I would prefer someone far pleasant and interesting. We were not able to visit the inside of churches except maybe for one so my goal to compare churches was not fulfilled.
Great tour! Guide was knowledgeable and Toledo is an incredible city steeped in history; however, the lady at Julia travel was horrible when I showed up with my Get your Guide mobile voucher. She would not accept it and told me that it wasn’t valid and that wasn’t her company even though it said it was on the voucher. I tried twice and then finally had to go to another man there who took it immediately. Other than that it was well worth the money for the full day.
Although we enjoyed our day in this unique city, some people in our tour had great difficulty with the strenuous hill climbing. The previews did not warn of the hills and although they were not a problem for everyone, they were for some. Our guide was very knowledgeable, but was sometimes difficult to hear. We highly recommend this tour for anyone in reasonable shape.
El Escorial is a must see place. The arrangements were very good but the guide was in a mighty rush and was walking well ahead of the group, mostly talking to herself. A little more patience on her part would have left a much better impression on all in the group.
The tour was in Spanish and English. First part of the day Escorial, one hour break and Tolido in the afternoon. I didn't like the shopping stop (isolated store with very expencive items) at the end of the day for about 1 hour, which was not mentioned anywhere.
