Full description
Start the day with pick-up from your hotel in Jerusalem and head to the Dead Sea, via the Judean hills. Your drive continues from there along the shores of the Dead Sea, to the desert fortress of Masada. Arrive at Masada, where your guide will tell you about the heroic story of the Jewish fighters. You’ll ascend Masada by cable car and then tour the mountain fortress that was built by King Herod. This is the spot where the Zealots of the 1st century made their last stand against the Roman troops. You’ll explore the site to see the remains of the walls, palaces, synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors and Roman baths. When you’ve completed this part of the tour, descend Masada by cable car. Your next destination is the Dead Sea. Its shores are the lowest point on dry land on earth! You’ll have the opportunity to float and swim in the Dead Sea waters that many believe have special therapeutic effects.

I think it would be important to note that the visit to the Dead Sea is very significant and yet the stay is very short and everything must be done very quickly or you do one thing or another. They should be important to make travelers notice that they are wearing appropriate footwear to be at sea, so as not to suffer any injuries. The transport was nothing nice compared to the bus that includes WIFI and better comfort. The visit to the place to eat Pedro's Fish was the worst, very bad service, bad food, and the excessive price for what it was. Do not take travelers to this type of places puts at risk the entire walk and the Magnificence of all the work to have a client and get others. The guide in Masada had good knowledge but definitely the Spanish he offered was bad, preferably speaking in English so as not to put the explanation at risk.

Worthwhile day tour

Only booked online 1 day before the tour. Although we didn't receive the promised email with the pick-up time, we were picked up punctually at the general start time of the tour. Masada was canceled as a stop, this was already informed in the booking. The two replacement stops En Gehdi and Qumran were also worth seeing. Because we were well on time, another spontaneous stop at the Point of Sea level was made right at the beginning. You can actually save yourself the obligatory stop at the soap factory, since the products are all available for the same price in the Citx outlets. The recommended swimming shoes should be worn at the Dead Sea. We had 3 cuts in our small group alone (12 adults + 3 children). At the end of the tour we were all taken to our hotels in a central hotel free of charge by taxi. The guests from Tel Aviv were therefore able to continue straight away. Successful day 8:45-16:30

Stunning view and amazing experience floating on the Dead Sea!

After a late start, we were quite a bit of a rush on this tour which also falls on the day before a Jewish holiday. We could have had more time to enjoy both Masada and Dead Sea. The scenery was stunning and the drive through the Judean desert to the lowest point on the earth was pleasant. There was someone in our group who had been on this kind of tour before and was a bit interruptive at times. Other than that it was a pleasant day out and overall a good tour.
