If I hadn't see it, I wouldn't feel I missed on something, but I'm sure it can appeal more to those who might be more religious or spiritual than I am. The sites we visited were interesting, particularly the caves. The Church of Nativity was in maintenance mode, but the queues to the place of Christ birth were long and this is only becasue someone didn't want to put proper effort in organising it better. Free food was a nice surprise.

The experience was, on the whole, excellent. The places that we visited were explained brilliantly to us by George, who was so kind and knowledgeable about the area. Nothing was too much for him to answer and he made us feel at ease. However, when he left us and Amir took over for the remainder of the morning, we had a detour to the Banksy Hotel and the Safety Wall. We felt less at ease asking questions here as he felt very politically motiviated and one-sided which made us slightly uncomfortable. We felt that the guide at this part of the tour, should have provided a balanced view or at least not presented such a political opinion, especially as we were not anticipating visiting this part of the West Bank.

Overall an excellent tour of Bethlehem with an informative guide. Be prepared to wait to enter the crypt at the Church of Nativity, but very special to touch the place of Jesus’ birth - whether religious or not. Seeing the wall , the meaningful graffiti regarding the ongoing Palestinian plight And Banksy art lent a different important perspective . The obligatory stop for shopping at the end was actually a delight - lovely people - coffee/ tea/baklava on offer . Absolutely no pressure to buy . Lunch( falafel sandwich) also arranged to eat on return trip which was great. Very small con: A little hectic at pick up point trying to decipher which was our tour & bus quite squashed if a full tour. Highly recommend
