Although we have visited NYC regularly over the past 20 years, we never considered joining lines of tourists to visit Ellis Island, especially in August. Civid changed the access of many activities in the city, as no international touriste are crowing the sites. We tremendously appreciated no lines, no crowds, plenty of space on the ferry and in the museum. Even the cafeteria was accessible, and clean. This is the opportunity that will not last. Plan a long visit, we spent two hours on Ellis Island and we will return. The exhibits are rich in a large variety of mementoes. Powerful and moving.
Boarding ends 10 min. prior to scheduled ticket time. Arrive early and make sure mobile tickets upload. We had trouble with Wifi connections and loading tickets took much longer than expected.
