Cosa aspettarsi

This trip has all the bases covered – sunbathing, swimming, drinks and some of Cyprus's most impressive coastal scenes. You'll sail from the Old Port in Limassol towards the most southerly point on the island for some much-deserved relaxation time with your loved ones on this calming catamaran cruise.

Hop aboard in Limassol and grab yourself the best spot for stretching out on deck or on the nets and topping up your tan. Your captain and crew will steer the way south, towards Cape Gata, so that you'll not need to lift a finger all day. Local drinks are on tap too, including juices, wine and beer, so you can sip away as you admire the ever-changing landscape.

And once the heat gets too much, there'll be a couple of stops for swimming, snorkelling or just taking a dip to cool off. It's all completed with some lunch on deck after swimming at Lady's Mile Beach before you begin the return leg of the journey.

Ancient Kourion, Kolossi Castle, Omodos & Winery Tour from Limassol

Cyprus is all rolling hills dotted with pretty villages. On this adults-only tour, you'll see where a legend was born, visit the ruins of Kourion, venture to the village of Omodos and cap off the day with a wine tasting. Eva, one of our local guides, says of this excursion, ‘You'll wander through layers of history, culture and mythology.'You'll dive straight into the past at Kourion, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Cyprus. Visit the Roman baths and amble into the site's centrepiece, the Greco-Roman theatre. Concerts are still held to this day. While the mosaics of the trio of excavated houses known as those of Eustolius, the Gladiators and Achilles are as impressive as when they were laid down. The 15th-century Kolossi Castle is up next. This steeped-in-legend Crusader-built fortress is nowadays surrounded by blooming plants. Then, we'll head for a local lunch in a family-run taverna before visiting mountain-fringed Omodos where you'll wander around skinny cobbled streets lined with Byzantine buildings. It's Eva's favourite village. She says, ‘The charm of the stone houses, the tranquillity and peace. It's as if it has sprung from a fairytale. I love dropping into one of the cafés and seeing locals have philosophical discussions, political arguments and a bit of gossip.' To finish, there's a wine tasting session, where you'll learn all about sweet commandaria wine – one of the oldest varieties in the world.

Southern Nicosia walking tour with a local guide

See the sights of southern Nicosia, the last divided capital in the world, on this guided walking tour. Your first stop is St John's Cathedral, built in the Franco-Byzantine style unique to Cyprus, with a simple brick exterior. The inside, however, tells a completely different story, with its ornate chandeliers and gilded woodwork showing off 18th century Cypriot craftsmanship . Afterwards, you'll visit the Cyprus Folk Art Museum, housed in the old Archbishopric Palace. Next, you'll enter the Venetian city walls to stroll through Laiki Geitonia. Argonaftis Cyprus Traditional Experience

A chance to explore the rustic side of Cyprus. On this family-friendly tour, you'll discover the remote Xeros valley on the back of a donkey. Pass through picturesque orange groves and quaint villages as you and your trusted donkey amble to the historic Sinti Monastery.
