Cosa fare a Elafonisi
The idyllic and uninhabited islet of Elafonisi could hardly be more beautiful. Floating just off southwest Crete – they’re separated by a narrow channel you can wade across – it’s famed for its blissful beaches, among the most picturesque in all Greece. Virgin strands of pink and white sands washed by translucent waters await you. Nirvana for sunbathers and swimmers. While the beaches are its calling card, Elafonisi offers a tiny bit of heritage. There’s the dinky Agia Irini chapel perched on a small hill next to a lighthouse at the western tip of the island.

“Elafonissi is a really beautiful sandy beach, not to deep or too big waves! You could paddle in it all day! I enjoyed sunbathing and paddling and the beach bar was also nice.”
“Fin nok tur… men 5 timer i bus, fordi vi skulle sætte en anden gruppe af, og vente på dem på tilbagevejen, var for meget. Var nok ikke taget afsted, hvis vi vidste det. Så synes vi heller ikke at stranden var særlig lyserød… men vi fandt en lyserød stribe. Men stranden var fin. Meget fint, at de passer på miljøet dernede”
