Cape Kamenjak: Half–Day Wine Tasting & Bike Tour

1. Cape Kamenjak: Half–Day Wine Tasting & Bike Tour

Discover the magnificent and protected nature reserve Cape Kamenjak. The waters of the sea are nowhere more bluish-green and crystal clean than in this locality – the southernmost tip of Istria. The rocky beaches alternate with sandy coves. Kamenjak is situated in a purely natural environment, there are no campsites, hotels or buildings. Further on the way, close to the bay of Pinizule, the ancient dinosaur footprints were discovered in the rock slabs several years ago. Upon arrival in Kamenjak, cycle along a narrow path and pass by beautiful beaches, with a unique view to the open sea's vastness. Stop at the very tip of the Istrian peninsula. Return by bike to Pula with a stopover for wine tasting of the famous Istrian wine, served with authentic Istrian cold dishes.

Pula: Electric Bike Sightseeing Tour

2. Pula: Electric Bike Sightseeing Tour

See Pula’s most important landmarks and attractions such as the Roman amphitheater, the ancient cathedral, the Temple of Rome and Augustus, the triumphal Arch of the Sergii and the Chapel of Santa Maria Formosa. Visit the gates of the Roman city such as the Sergii Gates (Porta Aurea), the Hercules Gates and the Twin Gates (Porta Gemina).  Then, pass the Church of St. Nicholas and reach the Castle of Pula, where you will enjoy the wonderful view of the city and have a look from above at the remains of the small Roman theatre. The tour will cover a pleasant bike tour around the city of Pula with its 3000-year-old history full of tourist attractions. Following your visit to the old town, the journey will take you along Lungomare, the beautiful coastal promenade and further to the Verudela Resort. After a short break, head back to the city center. On your return, see some of the major city’s fortifications – impressive sights waiting to be discovered. This 2-hour tour will conclude back at the original starting point.

Parenzana: Guided Old Railway Bike Tour with Lunch

3. Parenzana: Guided Old Railway Bike Tour with Lunch

Parenzana was a narrow gauge railway which connected Trieste with Porec, operating from 1902 until 1935. It was eliminated due to not being profitable and because cheaper and faster road transportation existed.  Today the Parenzana route attracts many visitors during the year. With its nine tunnels, six bridges, viaducts and stations the route is ideal for everyone who wants to discover and get to know Istria. Enjoy a hotel pick-up, and then head to Groznjan, a small Istrian town of great cultural heritage, in more recent history known as the “Town of Artists”. Then start your ride along Grožnjan’s narrow and cobbled streets. Continue your route on Parenzana with a beautiful view over the Mirna valley. Through tunnels and bridges, the road will take you to Livade. Then cross the Mirna River to reach the other side of the valley and climb towards Motovun, one of the most popular Istrian medieval towns. Here you will enjoy lunch in a beautiful local tavern. Then enjoy a return transfer to your hotel.

Loved it. Nicely balanced activity. Offering views of the city, water-front, and forest, well as a little history from the roman period, the Austrian influence and Communism. The route was also varied and included short paths through the forest. We covered some distance, easily thanks to the ebikes, which were good quality. Our guide was great. Friendly, easy going with a love of cycling and Pula! Local to Pula, he showed a genuine understanding of Pula's continuing evolution, culture and shared a few of Pula's little hidden gems. Like the bar we stopped at; the perfect hang out, in forest shade, with views of a bay.

Very well designed route because it takes us directly to the most interesting villages and areas of Parenzana. What we couldn't have done on our own. Great idea to provide the e-bikes. Finishing the hike in Motovun with a good meal on a beautiful terrace with a magnificent view is top. Round trip transportation directly from our accommodation makes things much easier. Daniel, our guide, knew the area very well. We really enjoyed chatting with him. I believe this is the best way to discover the Parenzana.

This is the perfect way to explore green Istria. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with our guide. The route was breathtaking. We visited all the places we wanted to see - Groznjan and Motovun, before stopping for a lovely lunch on top of Motovun. The ebikes make this journey so much more enjoyable. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves nature, outdoors and adventure.

Excellent guide for our family of 4. Great route using the electric bikes seeing the city centre and the beaches etc. Thoroughly recommended

Daniel was an extraordinary guide and we had an amazing time biking and exploring the Istrian peninsula!
