Full description
Depart Inverness and travel via Loch Ness to the Isle of Skye. Loch Ness is the largest Loch by volume in the British Isles, and one of the deepest ones too. Famous worldwide for its elusive monster, it hosts one of the most iconic castles of Scotland: Urquhart Castle. Visit the Fairy Pools. Walk the trail that takes to you to the pools and enjoy a swim with the fairies. After visiting the Fairy Pools, stop at Talisker Single Malt Scotch Distillery based in Carbost. You'll go through the Visitor Centre (not on the tour) and, if available, sample one of the fine whiskeys produced here. Continue your journey of the Isle of Skye, and take in the small village of Portree for an afternoon break. Portree is a small harbour village, and the capital of Skye. Before you travel back to Inverness, you will enjoy sights of the mighty Eilean Donan Castle, which is situated on its own island, and is one of Scotland’s most photographed castles. Continue homeward bound to Inverness, where your tour ends.

Absolutely fantastic adventure. Gordon was an absolute pleasure to have as a tour guide. He breathed ecstatic life into the journey, telling stories about everything and really going above and beyond to make the tour the highlight of your trip. If you are considering this trip, 100% go for it!! We have no regrets and it made our trip. Thank you Gordon!

We got lucky! It was such a lovely sunny day. Easy meeting point near St Andrews Church, Inverness. I popped into the church before our tour. It costs £1 donation. Our lovely local tour guide Gorrrrrdon was wonderfully welcoming in his Scottish National Dress - the Kilt! The mini-coach was very comfortable. I sat I front as I get motion sickness. It was a long day but so worth it. We saw so many beauty places along the drive to the Isle of Skye. Isle of Skye is so beautiful. It was lovely to listen to the tales and learn the history of Scotland from Gorrrrrdon. He was brillant at explaining things and spotting some animals and places along the way. Take cash!! Most places have issues with card machine connectivity. There are loads of places to stop. Take your costume or wet suit for a swim in fairy pools! The water is cold but it’s such an amazing thing to do! I wish I had taken my kit.

Most beautiful scenery!! Truly get a huge taste of the Scottish highlands. From castles to Loch Ness, cows, sheep, and deer. To waterfalls and vast countryside. I’ve always sworn to never be a tour kind of person and try to do those things on my own but I would highly recommend this tour. Gordon our guide was very knowledgeable and upbeat which kept the day entertaining. Had a fantastic time
