Riggins: Salmon River Full Day Rafting & Kayaking Trip

3. Riggins: Salmon River Full Day Rafting & Kayaking Trip

Discover the world-famous Salmon River, the longest river in the United States without a dam on it. Join the thousands of people who come to experience the adventure of the incredible class 3 and 4 rapids depending on water levels. Take the opportunity to admire the fantastic scenery of some of the deepest and most beautiful gorges in the country. Start the journey at the local supplier's shop at the north end of Riggins Idaho, the whitewater capital of the state. Here, get geared up and climb into a van for a 20-minute drive upstream. At the launch site, receive a thorough orientation to prepare for the activity before loading in the boats and heading out onto the warm-up rapids. After a morning of great whitewater paddling, surrounded by beautiful canyons, enjoy a BBQ lunch served on the lawn in the shade. After lunch, climb back in the boats and head downstream to continue your whitewater afternoon, filled with the majority of the main rapids for the day. After running a number of exciting rapids and likely getting pretty wet, arrive at the takeout where a van will be waiting to bring everyone back to the shop.
