6. The Royal Parks and Royal Palaces 3.5-Hour Morning Tour

This tour starts in Kensington Garden - you'll start the morning by cycling through this beautiful park to see where Queen Victoria grew up and where Princess Diana lived. Further down the road, you'll stop at London's most classic venue, The Royal Albert Hall, built to memorialize Prince Albert. Feel free to do your own "last night of the proms" or lay back and listen to one of your guide's anecdotes. Your group will then follow the "rotten row" in the magical Hyde park to the statue of one of England's biggest heroes of all time, the man who defeated Napoleon back in 1815: if you know his name and where the battle took place you're the hero of the day. It's all downhill from there, through the Green Park to visit the official residence of the Royal family, Buckingham Palace - maybe you'll get invited for a cup of tea? We hope to tell you some stories about the Palace that you won't find in a travel guide! Next stop on your route is Trafalgar square, one of the world's most famous places. Whatever happened to Lord Nelson in Trafalgar and where did all the pigeons that once lived here go? If you know this then please do share - that's what the tour is all about, sharing some stories  - it's more of a chat than a lecture with a lot of yeardropping. If you like the royal weddings and the coronations, the amazing Westminster Abbey might be the highlight for you on the tour, if you prefer some good old execution and torture you can pay some extra attention by ţhe Houses of Parliament. Then, take a selfie at Big Ben, London's number one landmark before your group goes back again through the Royal Parks to the meeting point again. But please don't rush off without challenging your guides with any questions you may have about other attractions, museums, markets and more ways to enjoy this fabulous city.

London: Changing of the Guard Walking Tour

7. London: Changing of the Guard Walking Tour

Meet your guide at Piccadilly Circus and get an introduction to the background of the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Hear what you will be doing for the next 1 hour and 45 minutes. Then proceed as a group toward The Mall. Pass by Pall Mall and Waterloo Place. Here you will learn more about the British Army and its greatest general, the Duke of Wellington. Once on The Mall, see the extraordinary monuments to royals and generals. Get a view of St. James's Park. Admire the most beautiful of the royal parks and look at the majestic open space of Horse Guards Parade. Continue toward St. James's Palace. On the way, you might see the Household Cavalry en route from their barracks in Hyde Park. The main focus, however, will be to watch the foot soldiers emerge from St. James's Palace ready for their uniform inspection. They will then march to Buckingham Palace, sometimes accompanied by a band. If you're lucky, they may even play a song! One of the highlights of your tour will be to march in step with the guards as they leave St. James's Palace. Then watch as the New Guard emerges from Wellington Barracks. He will often be accompanied by a full ceremonial band. Take a photo of Buckingham Palace from a raised platform. The tour ends with a flourish as the band plays in the palace courtyard. Marvel as the cavalry and guardsmen march past. Your guide will then help you get to your next port of call.

Incredible! It was completely worth it, a very good and quite impressive experience. The cruise staff were quite friendly and they give you a guided tour. It was good to know from previous reviews that the cruise only covers one leg so we took the cruise to the London Eye and waited for our reservation time right there. Once the London Eye loop was over (amazing btw) we got on the bus around 3pm and used the bus until 5pm when the routes ran out, and still got up early and continued to use the bus the next day. (The bus lasts 24 hours, so we visited several places using the time we had left.) I highly recommend downloading the Big bus app to be able to see the routes and buses in real time. Incredible experience, we were 4 people

It was unfortunately pretty rainy weather when we went, but the guides knew all the cheats for still getting to see some guards even in the wet weather and offered for us to come back for free next time in London if we weren’t happy with what we’d seen, which I thought was great. Guides gave us lots of interesting information about the guards, ceremonies, royals and more. Can recommend!

Everything went well, except representative, who met us in front of Marriott. Rude, no answers, gave us tickets and just run away. So we didn't know how to rich our boat and bus. Good we booked time for London Eye. That representative was absolutely USELESS.

Ola is a very competent, safe, and chilled out guide. Just the person you want to take you around London.

Seamless and great easy directions booking was so easy and the attractions great
