Full description

Venture far out into the Egyptian desert on a guided day trip. Take a 4x4 across the mountain terrain and ride camels to reach a Bedouin camp. Tuck into a barbecue buffet dinner as the sun sets, then observe the clear night sky with a telescope and an astronomer.

Get picked up from your hotel in Hurghada and drive through stunning desert landscapes in a 4x4 convoy. Cross over the mountainous landscape until you've left the city far behind.

Arrive at your first stop and hop into your new desert transportation for the jeep safari. Next, climb onto a camel. Spend 10 minutes riding over the desert sands and taking photos on the dunes.

Be welcomed into the Bedouin camp with herbal tea and meet the locals. Learn how the Bedouins bake bread and craft handmade carpets, bracelets, and necklaces, then take the chance to try making your own.

Relax as your guide cooks you a barbecue dinner and the sun begins to set over the desert. Enjoy an open buffet dinner with green salad, tomatoes, cheese, rice, grilled chicken, and beef before enjoying tasty desserts.

As the flames of the fire flicker, look up to realize that the stars have come out to shine. Out in the desert, they're bright enough to make out all the constellations, and if you're lucky, you might spot a shooting star.

Follow your professional astronomer guide to the observation area, where a telescope has been set up for you. Look into the lens to see twinkling stars and distant planets on a journey to the edge of the universe.

The safari tour was super nice, although we had a breakdown in between, but the guides were diligent and resourceful, so we continued after a few minutes. The food was very tasty and the people were super nice. Abdul told us a lot about stars, we preferred to have stayed longer. We recommend

Great trip to spend time in peace and not in the classic tourist/commercial way. Our guide spoke great German. We spent some time in a small camp in the desert, learned a lot about the Egyptian way of life and were able to pester our guide with questions, which he was happy to answer in detail. The food was very good, and there were plenty of drinks included all the time. After sunset we drove to another stargazing spot. Our guide showed us a lot and explained very well. It was very impressive, but would have liked it to have lasted a little longer. Nevertheless, to be recommended unreservedly. Rather not suitable for children.

Unfortunately, I have to deduct 1 star because I had booked a tour with a German-speaking guide. Unfortunately, this tour guide only spoke English and therefore he could not explain the star constellation to me and other important things had to be explained to me by other participants, of course that is not possible. The drive to the destination was also a disaster. 12 people in a Toyota Landcruser is clearly too much. But the program itself is highly recommended.
