It was well worth the money. We had a minibus pick up at the agreed time from the hotel, a 20 minute ride to the quad park and then a 35 minute ride to the Bedouin village. The camel ride was just 1 minute and the visit to the Bedouin pharmacy and shop was a little artificial. The ride back on the quads was fun! We bought sunglasses and headscarfs before setting off for a few Euro and spent a little at the Bedouin village on creams just to make a small contribution. Overall a fun day for both kids and adults.
The experience was great! Even at the first I was scared because of the armed people at the entry. Be prepared to see armed groups of men at the entrance. What i did not like was the fact that the bedouin village they make us buy some creams at 5 usd, and they said that the price was in order to help locals, but is pretty much evident that the village is built there for tourists. Also DO NOT BUY anything from the stores there. They will ask you 15 times more than the real price. The sellers there are thieves.
Lovely tour It was a wonderful tour where we did ride in a jeep through the desert, hiked up to a great viewpoint, visited a Bedouin village, had a candle-lit dinner and could stargaze the beautiful clear skies. Mohamed was very knowledgeable of astronomy and assisted us in seeing all the planets and constellations through the telescope. Very relaxed, yet a bit adventurous and so informative experience. Highly recommend!
Overall the entire experience was great. Just that the camel ride was only 5 mins for photo taking , it wasn’t to go somewhere . And we did not visit any village , it was a tent set up in the desert that look like how they live, with a lady making bread and a young girl making fire. The guide told us to the village will be not possible as it is 13km away . Otherwise the experience is ok.
This was a really fun and memorable experience. It really felt like a desert adventure. The stargazing was a bonus - we got to see Jupiter and Saturn as well as many other stars and close ups of the moon. The guides we very helpful and accommodating, they actually recommended I go a different day because the day I initially selected was going to be cloudy.
