San Agustín is Colombia's most recognized archaeologic destination. The mysterious indigenous group that built hundreds of gigantic stone sculptures in this area disappeared years before the arrival of Spanish Conquistadores, leaving many questions open for contemporary archaeology. Moreover, San Agustín is located in the Macizo Colombiano Area, known for its impressive hydric richness, and stunning mountainous landscapes. Discover this magical place in Colombia's far south with this memorable 3-day adventure. Itinerary Overnight bus ride You will be picked up at your hotel in Bogotá at 8:00 PM to take you to Salitre's Bus Terminal to continue in a comfortable bus to San Agustín in a 10hour aprox overnight ride to the south of the country arriving early on next day's morning. Check in at hotel and this day is free for you do explore on your own. Day 1 We pick you up at the hotel to carry out the tour of the Archaeological Park of San Agustín, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1995. Here we will take a pleasant walk immersing ourselves in the magic and in the legacy that left the pre-Columbian culture that inhabited the Alto Magdalena, we will visit the Mesitas A, B, C, Fuente del Lavapatas, Alto del Lavapatas, Forest of Statues and Museum. The tour is done walking with the accompaniment of the professional guide. Duration of 4 hours, low level of demand. In the afternoon at 3:00 pm we pick you up at the hotel or meeting point that you establish with the driver assigned on his day. They will travel to the Strait of Magdalena where our river of the country meets reduced to 2.20 m in the middle of a canyon of amazing beauty. 2 hour tour. The tour takes place by car. Day 2 After breakfast we will enjoy a smooth bike ride through San Agustín, where we will see the murals of our graphic artists, the architecture of our churches, the traditional street of the crafts and we will delight an exquisite special coffee of our region. Duration 2 to 3 hours. Optional if you don't want to do the bike tour, we have the coffee tour in Certified farm with microlots of special coffee where they will learn the entire coffee process from sow up to the cup. Delivery of rooms at noon. The tour ends at approximately 1:00 PM, you can have your lunch at the town, and have the rest of the afternoon for yourself before departing to Bogotá at 6:00 PM. You will be arriving in Bogotá at 6:00 AM on the next day, and you will be taken to your hotel or any other place of your choice within Bogotá.
