Full description
Your driver and guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Hoi An and transfer you to the port. From the port, you’ll get on a boat for the ride to Thanh Ha pottery village, where you’ll meet the local people and learn about daily life in the village. You’ll have a chance to see how pottery is produced here, and watch as vases, pots, kettles, and cooking pots are made. You'll also get the chance to visit Thanh Ha Terra Cotta Park museum. After you’ve observed the pottery-making process, you’ll head back to the boat for a 30-minute ride on the Thu Bon River to Kim Bong carpentry village. See firsthand how wooden fishing vessels are constructed using traditional methods. You’ll also visit the carpentry workshop where handcrafted furniture and a variety of souvenirs are made. Finish the tour by visiting the home of a local lantern craftsman to learn the traditional art of lantern-making. Lantern-making in Hoi An is recognized as one of nine traditional craft villages in Vietnam.

The guide explained it carefully.

I think the Japanese title should be [Half-day craft village tour by boat]. I'm glad that the English guide explained it in a very easy-to-understand manner. I think it would have been better if there were free time and breaks along the way.

Our guide was very nice but it was very difficult to understand his English. I also did not find the sites on the crafts tour to be all that interesting.
