Head south to the Tasman Peninsula and enter the Tasman National Park for some amazing views of the coastline and sea. Upon arrival at the Port Arthur Historic Site, learn the story of the convict settlement.

Listen to stories about the chilling realities of life as a prisoner amid the preserved jail ruins on a guided tour. Hear more about the penal colony's terrible past.

Take a cruise of the harbor to see the site from a different perspective, and get a look at the Isle of the Dead where those who died at the prison were laid to rest in mass graves.

Return to Hobart and benefit from the opportunity to stop by the remarkable geological formations of the Tasman Arch, Devil's Kitchen and Blow Hole. Get dropped off in Hobart in the early evening.

Excellent trip. We went for a very nice walk to see the Tasman Arch and Blow Hole. Port Arthur is worth the visit. The cruise is a bit of waste of time unless you have a ticket to see the Island of the dead. This was not included in this trip.

Besides the fact that we had a stunning day weather wise- Port Arthur is so well set up. Lots of historical facts to keep you interested. Lots of amazing displays. The grounds are really well maintained. Staff really helpful. The bus driver was very entertaining with historical facts and local interests. A fabulous day.

The driver was knowledgeable and shared great stories. We were in a very old mini van, would’ve been more comfortable if it was something newer and branded. However, overall the tour was very good, we saw sooo many sites! Be prepared for a looong day and lots of walking and stairs.
