Full description

Discover Bruny Island’s spectacular landscapes, gourmet produce, and inspiring locals on a guided tour with a knowledgeable local guide. Tours depart daily from Hobart and local accommodation. Relax and enjoy this fully inclusive experience showcasing the best of Bruny Island. Try cheeses, oysters, fudge, premium wines, honey, and mead. Meet some of the island’s artisan producers, people who put their energy and spirit into handcrafting these renowned products. Stop for a delicious lunch at Pennicott’s beachside restaurant with sweeping views of Adventure Bay.  Throughout the day you'll see incredible scenery. At The Neck, see the narrow isthmus stretch away south in graceful curves. Take a stroll and leave your footprints in the sand of a deserted beach. The light bush of the northern island gives way to the dense rainforest of the south's Mavista Rainforest - a pristine environment home to diverse wildlife including rare white wallabies.

Board the ferry for a return crossing to Kettering, followed by a short drive back to Hobart, where hotel drop-offs are available on request.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day on Bruny. Guide Jacob was excellent keeping the day rolling and providing lots of information with just the right mix of humour and detail. It was a full day with great variety in experiences. Lunch was delicious and the cheese tasting a highlight. Highly recommend.

We had the best time! One thing that stood out to us with the fact that we are both in our late 20s, and yet we had an absolute ball, even more so than we would have on a classic “young people” tour. We found that we got more out of the day because of the diverse group of travelers alongside us.

Convenient pickup from our hotel, excellent tour guide (shoutout to Allan!) who took care of us with the friendliest service and local insight and passion. Tours and tastings were amazing and a big part of a great experience. The oysters and honey ice cream were my fav. Lucky for us the weather was near perfect. We saw the bald eagle and white kangaroos on Bruny Island too. Would recommend this tour!!
