What people are saying about Hervey Bay

It was a fantastic day. So glad I went. A little more strenuous walking than I had expected but all in all, it was fine. Our hostess was great & explained much of the aboriginal history of the region. It did take a bit of prompting to get her to speak of the European history too. We were taken to a resort for lunch. The lunch was a disappointing but I really did not like the atmospherr of the resort. The staff were very nice & you couldn't fault them but, still there was an underlying feeling that we were an inconvenience to the management. Brooke (?) our guide did a great job of manoeuvring the vehicle through the sand & getting around other vehicles.

wonderful experience, fabulous driver very knowledgeable. Steve really looked after everyone. If travelling with a small child you need to take car seat or you won't be allowed on the tour, I didn't find this out till the evening before. this should be on website when booking, maybe less stressful for people and save time. One more off the bucket list.

Tour was great but we found the very long beach drive after lunch tiring and the full sun in our face the whole time was very unpleasant. Mark, the guide, was always full of interesting information with a great sense of humour (110% effort!) but unfortunately often we could not hear what he was saying due to the speaker system he was using.

It was very easy to book, reminders were sent in a timely manner. The trip was well organized and executed. The driver/guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip entertaining. The four wheel driving experience was exciting especially along the beach. We took the flight option which was really worth doing. A really enjoyable day.

Best day. Highly recommend. From the first sandy bump experience under the hughly experienced hands. Driver Murray never lost a beat. From describing plants, trees, animals, climatic conditions, World Heritage preservation, Indigenous cultures and the pioneering history, he's a wealth of knowledge.
