Amsterdam: Luxury Canal City Cruise from Rijksmuseum
- Duration: 1 hour
Get the Heineken Experience: a highly interactive museum with all you could ever want to know and more about the world-famous lager.
Only thought there was one type of Heineken out there? You thought wrong! Enjoy trying out a few different homegrown varieties here in Amsterdam.
If you've fancied yourself a pint-puller, now's your chance to prove your skills. Alternatively, if you've got a shaky hand, the Heineken bartenders will be happy to pour you one.
The ride demonstrates the life cycle of a Heineken bottle and the star of the show is you! Tip: don't wear clothes that don't dry off easily.
You may be surprised to learn that by the end of WWII, Heineken had taken over the entire Dutch beer market and there was an anarchist boycott movement against it in the 1980s!
Heineken has even extended its influence to the movies. There's a whole exhibition room about the link between James Bond and Heineken, including authentic props from the movies!
€18 adult entry, €14 child entry. You may save money on your ticket if you book a tour.
365 days a year! Mondays to Thursdays 10:30AM to 7:30PM; Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 10:30AM to 9:00PM. In July and August, it'll be open all week until 9:00PM.
From Amsterdam's central station, you can get the tram to Stadhouderskade (accessible from lines 16, 24, and 25).
The tour is recommended, although please note that it's self-guided - you can download an app from the Heineken website. Please note that if you are under 18, you will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Me and my girlfriend went to Amsterdam in the last week of October for a few days and got the Amsterdam card for 2 days of the trip and we managed to get so much done! We went to the ARTIS Zoo, Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Moco museum and went on a canal cruise. We also went to the Body Worlds exhibition. The card is definitely value for money and I just wish I'd have got an extra day on it to do more things. Amsterdam is amazing and the I Amsterdam City Card is 100% worth getting!
I booked 48 hr card. Easy to book museums and canal cruise online, used the 24 hr bike rental included which you can start at anytime within the card time so I walked around for 2 days and used the bike rental on the 3rd day before 11 am when the card expired. It was good value if you are doing a few things
If you are planning on visiting many place in Amsterdam and move relatively alot with Transportation...this card is very very useful. Only the NS train service is not inclused in the card (Stand: 12.10.2020)
Was a really nice tour. Comfortable and nice guide...had great fun. Would recommend this to everyone.
The skipper Nils was a great guide, me and my friends enjoyed a lot the tour through the canals.
