Set off on a walk around Heidelberg Castle and listen to stories from the lives and daily routines of the castle’s inhabitants by flickering candlelight. Walk along the walls and towers of the fortification system and hear about medieval sieges and defensive tactics. Visit the artillery platform, the moat, and pass the deer’s moat, the ammunition storage tower, the defensive corridor and have a closer look at different medieval sconces. Naturally, you will consider serious questions such as the purpose of the small bells on the privy capsule.  The fortress’ history will be explained by your time traveler guide, dressed in authenic medieval costume. The knight will demonstrate medieval fencing, his weaponry and armory. You will also hear about clothing and gear.
