Join a full-day safari complete with pickup from your hotel or one of the park's gates and set out to discover South Africa's wildlife with the help of a local guide. Get an early start with a pickup from your accommodation or the gate of your choosing and make the most of your time in one of Africa's largest game reserves. Hop into an open vehicle and drive along the park's many roads in an area known to be rich in both plant and animal life. Your experienced safari guide will take you to some of the best places to see animals. Spot vast herds of herbivores and be on the lookout for the big cats that hunt them. Look for cheetahs, impalas, zebras, wildebeest, and the many other species that call this reserve home. A full day in the park also increases your chances of seeing Africa's Big 5, the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo. The area is also rich in birdlife, including the African fish eagle, the hornbill, the kingfisher, and many more. As you drive, learn about the park, its history, and the local inhabitants who used to call this area home. Enjoy 2 stops throughout the day, one for breakfast and one for lunch, savoring some of the hearty fare available at the park's many rest camps (cost not included). Your day will begin as you are picked up at Hazyview from where you will head for the Kruger National Park. Throughout your experience, you will have exclusive use of the vehicle for you and your group only. The first session of your safari is roughly 3 hours long, and will involve you seeing and learning about the animals and plant life. Following your first morning safari, you will enjoy a breakfast stop of about 45 minutes. Once your breakfast break is complete, you will continue your safari, exploring the Kruger Park Rivers and mountain areas. You will also of course discover many other animals for a further 3 hours. Following this exploration there will be another break for 1 hour during which you can purchase lunch. Following lunch, you will be taken back to your hotel while enjoy the last sightings of the park along the way.

Escape the hot afternoon sun and explore the African wilderness at night. You’ll be picked up from your Hazyview accommodation and taken to Kruger National Park. In the quiet of the night, you can expect a different kind of Kruger safari experience than during the day. As you become accustomed to your dim surroundings, you’ll see smaller, more shy and rare creatures, not usually seen during the day.  No stops are made during your Kruger safari, but you are welcome to bring along a small cooler box with soft drinks if you wish.

8. From Johannesburg: 2-Day Safari into Kruger National Park

Look for the legendary wildlife of South Africa on a thrilling 2-day safari in Kruger National Park. Day 1: Benefit from pickup at O. R. Tambo International Airport or your hotel in Johannesburg, and then travel via a panoramic route to Kruger National Park. Head to your accommodation which is based in Hazyview outside the Kruger National Park to freshen up before your 2 hour evening game drive. This tour starts off with a visit to the Kinyonga Reptile Park, a center for reptile-related research and public education, home to many species of snakes, frogs, and other interesting reptiles. At Kinyonga, you'll get to see and learn about reptiles, numerous amphibians and arachnids, many species of which are endangered in South Africa. After lunch, you'll board a boat on the Blydepoort Dam for a view of the mountains from the bottom of the Canyon. 10. From Hazyview: 3-Day Kruger National Park Safari with Meals

DAY 1 The transfer shuttle will depart from Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport bus terminal by 07:00 and transfer you to Hazyview. It is a 5–6-hour drive and lunch stop will be made (at own expense) enroute. From Hazyview you will be picked up by our friendly guide who will bring you to our tented camp situated in the south-western side in the Kruger National Park. Once you have stretched your legs and arms you will depart on a late afternoon or a sunset game drive. Dinner is served under the stars at our private camp within Pretoriuskop. You spend the night in your dome tent and your package includes dinner. DAY 2 You will leave the camp really early in the morning and join our experienced and qualified guide to enjoy at least eight to ten hours of game viewing in our Open Safari Game Viewing Vehicle. Kruger is home to 147 mammal (including the Big 5), 114 reptile & 502 bird species. We take breaks in the various camps and picnic spots along the way in order to stretch our legs and grab a bite to eat. After an exciting eight hours of game viewing, African Bushveld and education we drive back to our camp and spend the afternoon at leisure Dinner is served under the stars. You spend the night in your dome tent and your package includes hot beverages and rusks, a light brunch and a three-course dinner. DAY 3 You wake up early again, pack up and depart on a morning safari drive in the open vehicle. Breakfast is included along route in the park before you are dropped off in Hazyview and get into the transfer vehicle back to Johannesburg. You should arrive in Johannesburg between 17:30 and 18:00, depending on late-afternoon traffic.

Unser Guide hat uns in einer Tour die Big Five gezeigt. Wir waren das erste Auto, was morgens in den Park gefahren ist, dadurch haben wir sehr viele Löwen und Hyänen gesehen, die teils noch auf der Straße liefen. Das Highlight aber war der Leopard, welcher oben im Baum saß und neben ihm sein frisch vertilgtes Warzenschwein hatte.

Wir haben sehr viele Tiere gesehen und von unserem Guide auch viele Informationen zu den kleineren Tieren erhalten. Er hat mit seinem scharfen Blick auch die kleinsten ausfindig gemacht und uns vieles erklärt.

The trip was really unforgettable. We saw a lot of different animals and beautiful nature. Our guide had a huge knowledge regarding animals that live in the park, and also a really good eye to spot them.
