Lahaina: Turtle Town Snorkel and Whale Watching Cruise

1. Lahaina: Turtle Town Snorkel and Whale Watching Cruise

Spot Hawaii's native marine life in its natural habitat on a snorkel cruise to Turtle Town from Lahaina. Swim past green sea turtles, Moorish idols, and even humpback whales. For beginners, there is an onboard snorkel demonstration before you set out. Enjoy an onboard lunch and drinks. Set sail from Lahaina Harbor towards Turtle Town, aka Mala Wharf (if weather conditions allow). In 1992, a powerful hurricane destroyed Mala Pier. The surviving posts have created an artificial reef and sanctuary where corals and other marine life thrive. Spot Moorish idols, green sea turtles, and saddle wrasse while snorkeling here. If snorkel conditions are not ideal at Turtle Town a.k.a. Mala Wharf, cruise to one of the other premier westside snorkel locations such as Honolua Bay, Airport Beach, or Launiupoko. All of these locations offer an excellent opportunity to see Hawaiian green sea turtles, brightly colored tropical fish, and beautiful coral reef formations. During the whale season (December to April), observe humpback whales as they enjoy the warm Hawaiian waters. This tour segment will include expert narration about the whales and provide a play-by-play commentary of the whales' behavior as you view them.

What people are saying about Hawaii

Simon and his crew were amazing! Was kind of scared to do this, but they were helpful, funny, kind & amazing! They made all my nerves chill & helped me have a blast! 100/100 would recommend! The manta rays were so cool & huge! One touched me on its way under the light! For anyone who thinks they might not like this or are iffy about doing it, do NOT hesitate! This is so far by far, the most amazing activity on our trip! Wish we could do it again during this trip!

The boat ride is an absolute thrill!!! Both Brandon (captain) and Jen (guide) are wonderful. Jen free dived to the bottom to bring sea life to the surface for us to see. We didn’t climb the jump off rock point but Jen did and it looked pretty cool if you’re agile enough. Again, the boat ride is intense be sure to hold on tight!!!

We were absolutely surrounded by sharks the entire time. The boat ride out and back is a beautiful bonus but the star of the show -sharks- do not disappoint!

The crew were very helpful and informative - we had a great time and learned a lot!

It was a very nice evening see the sunset and fireworks!
