The tour continues along the coastline to the famous Halona Blowhole, Sandy Beach, and Makapu’u Point. Get out that camera to capture the view of Windward Oahu from the scenic Nu’uanu Pali Lookout (subject to availability). Take a tram ride at Waimea Valley and swim in a waterfall-fed pool (weather permitting). A "to go" lunch is included. Visit the Byodo-In Temple in the Valley of the Temples in Kaneohe, set against the majestic Ko’olau Mountains (admission included). Take a moment to meditate and take in the beautiful temple grounds, including traditional Japanese gardens and a koi pond. See the world-famous North Shore beaches of Sunset, Banzai Pipeline, and Waimea Bay, home to big wave surfing and surf competitions like the Vans Triple Crown of Surf. We had a smaller sized tour bus (due to COVID) which is actually preferable as it allowed us to have more conversations as a smaller group and made the experience more enjoyable. Our guide Kimo was very engaging, inviting questions, making jokes, and knew a lot about Hawaii.

A great, full day trip around most of the island of Oahu with a very well versed, local guide, Kemoko, that has perfected his island history and jokes! Bus was extremely comfortable and new! If they cut out the Dole Plantation stop and added that time equally over the other stops, it would of gotten a 5 star review!

It was a great tour with Garfield. He is well informed on the history of the island and also of his ancestors who took the amazing voyage across the ocean to settle in Hawaii. His depth on knowledge is amazing and he told us many stories along the journey around the island.
