Lovina: Sunrise Dolphin Watching Small Group Tour

4. Lovina: Sunrise Dolphin Watching Small Group Tour

Spend a morning with the ocean’s most joyful creatures on a memorable sunrise dolphin watching tour. Capture striking photos of the sun creeping up from the horizon and glimpse dolphins break the waves as they swim in their pods.  Start with a very early wakeup at 3 AM. This is because dolphins are most active in the early morning. The experienced guide knows the habits and patterns of the dolphins inside out, meaning you’ll have the best possible chance of viewing them in their natural habitat. After your traditional Balinese boat tour, stop for a spot of breakfast before continuing to one of Bali’s most iconic spots. Handara Gate is a fantastic alternative to the popular Gates of Heaven, which usually has a 2-hour queue for photos. These equally attractive gates are a hidden gem, thought by the Balinese to separate the spiritual and physical world.

After tucking into a well-deserved breakfast, begin the day’s trek towards the Twin Lakes. Both Buyan Lake and Tamblingan Lake are a sight to see, shrouded in rainforest and home to unique Balinese wildlife. Reach the real highlight of the day and cross the serene Lake Tamblingan by traditional canoe. Let your experienced guide do the arm work while sitting back and snapping photos of the majestic surroundings. Next, swing by Handara Gate, one of Bali’s most popular photo spots. Symbolizing a bridge between the real and spiritual realms, this photogenic stone arch is built in the typical Balinese style. In sum the whole trip was great and very well organised. First we visited Lake Bratan & the famous Handara Gate. It was really interesting to explore the north part of Bali, as it is quite different from the more touristic areas. I enjoyed the view of the lake and mountains, also later the Waterfall, which was an unforgettable experience. Even though it was raining on that day, it didn't got in my way to enjoy the nature around the Waterfall. I took a lot of amazing pictures, also thanks to my guide Suker, who took most of them. Suker is super kind, polite and a well informed guide who is always eager to make you feel most comfortable. I really appreciate the whole trip and can definitely recommend it, especially when you travel solo.

Timmy was an amazing guide! Not only was he very knowledgeable about the history and culture here in Bali, he was also very friendly and happy. My husband and I really enjoyed spending our day with him as our tour guide. Also, one of the attractions that were listed on our tour was unfortunately closed due to the pandemic, but he brainstormed a couple attractions that he thought we may enjoy and it ended up being one of our favourite activities of the day! Highly recommend Timmy (also his photography skills are great!!)

Strawberry was a great guide! He was knowledgeable, funny, answered all my questions great and spoke English very well! The tour was jam packed, we saw the temple on Bratan lake, the twin waterfalls, Handara Gate and we went to the lake viewpoint which was beautiful. He also took the most amazing pictures for me which was really appreciated as a solo traveller. Highly recommend this tour and will definitely book with Strawberry again in the future!

The pickup was on time. We drove about 2h 20min after that there was coffee and at 6 o'clock it started. Drive out a bit and there were many dolphins. After breakfast and then off to the gates. Our guide Tawan was very friendly and could speak English. It wasn't a problem if you wanted to stop somewhere. There is also a lot to see on the way from Bali.

It was absolutely amazing, I would definitely recommend it to everyone whom wants to do this as a once in a lifetime experience
