Explore the Port of Hamburg in a different way - by bike. Bring your own bike or opt for a practical and affordable bike rental. With its quays, bridges and canals, the Port of Hamburg offers many unusual views of the city's developments. Start at the jetties and make your way to Speicherstadt and Hafencity, where you will not only dive deep into the history of Hamburg, but also see the cruise terminal and those areas of Hafencity that are still under construction.
Next, bike to the old Freihafen (free port) with its old harbor basins, railway tracks, cranes and sheds. At Hansahafen, where the harbor museum is located, the romantic atmosphere will prompt you to push your bike along Bremer Kai and fully take in the old museum ships, suction dredgers and barges. See the Wilhelmsburger Reiherstieg district and the Spreehafen, where the bargemen once anchored their barges. Admire particularly beautiful canals in Wilhelmsburg before climbing on top of an old 40 meter tall flak bunker to enjoy magnificent views of Hamburg.
Then, head towards the Container Terminal Tollerort in the modern harbor before taking in a wonderful view of the classic harbor promenade with the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken from a small peninsula. Crossing the passage of the old Elbe River tunnels, head back towards Landungsbrücken.

- If you require a bicycle, you will receive information after the booking. Bicycle rental charges are 10.00 EUR per bike
- The tour will run at a leisurely pace also suitable for less experienced participants
- Note: The approximately 3.5-hour long tour will be available for groups on request. In addition, a day tour through the Port of Hamburg will be offered several times a year, and at any time of the year for groups (duration approximately 6-hours)
- The tour will include Moorburg, Altenwerder (where the most modern container terminal in Europe is located) and Finkenwerder, from where you will take the ferry back. Please keep this in mind when going through the different booking options
