The tour was great! Yes, the commentary is in German (as described), and our guide was cracking a fair number of jokes which might be harder to understand for a less proficient speaker. However, most of the facts (size of port, number of containers etc) of the port should be easier to understand. You get a nice round through the river portion and industrial section of the harbor, and see huge container ships, shipyards, recycling stations, and dry docks. Definitely recommend the 2 hour tour instead of just 1 hour!

Booking online is definitely worth it! The price of the trip offered here is 6 € more than the online price at the port. It was a bit difficult to find the right berth, but after several inquiries at jetty 1, we were then sent to the right boat. With the online voucher we were able to enjoy the boat and the trip at short notice. Unfortunately there were only a few outdoor seats and the indoor seats were very heated. But outside the view was great! The trip itself was a little over two hours long, very informative and covered a huge area of the port. We were super satisfied!

We booked our tickets in advance, but on-site it would have been possible without a long wait. We had problems first, the described place, which was described on the tickets, to find. Upon request, we learned that we could choose a boat, which we found very good. So you still had the choice between two routes.
