The tour is in German even though the description in GYG is in English. But since it's a beer-tasting tour, and beer has no language, I went through with the activity. Kay, our tour guide made me feel welcome even though I didn't understand German. He would switch to English from time to time to accommodate his non-German speaking guests. Awesome and varied samples of beer. My fave was the Glitter Gitta at Astra bar.

Great tour with lots of exciting information about the St. Pauli district and the breweries. There were plenty of different beer samples, unfortunately only light and Pale Ale. Henning is an excellent guide with lots of stories including his own. In any case, the tour is highly recommended. Since the locations change on the tour, we will be there again on our next visit to Hamburg.

It was a great evening and a lot of fun. Sam made the tour very interesting and fun. We went to 3 locations where we were allowed to taste a total of 7 beers. We moved from the Sternschanze to St. Pauli, where the tour ended after about 2.5 hours. We were thrilled and will definitely be there again sometime!
