Hakone Hachiri is a Japan Heritage where you can experience how people traveled between Kyoto and Edo (today Tokyo) during Edo period (17-19th century). These days, Kyoto and Tokyo are linked by bullet trains and buses but walking this path can make you understand the history of Japan from a new perspective. Then we walk along the lake and through the famous cedar avenue with trees that are more than 400 hundred years old. After this, we reach the Hakone Checkpoint - the gate where the Edo government controlled the traffic of travelers. Lunch will be followed in a local Japanese restaurant. After lunch, we take a bus to get past Hakone Pass - the highest point which was difficult for the old days travellers. Then we continue the walk on this highway towards Mishima. You will walk past the Mishima Skywalk and take pictures having the skywalk as our background. In Mishima, we visit Genbe River, a part of Unesco's Geopark at the end of this journey. The tour will finish at Mishima Station at around 5pm and at Odawara Station at around 5:30pm where you can catch a bus back to Hakone or take train to continue your journey to other destinations. easy to book and helpful instructions to find the meeting point. very organised and lovely staff. the meeting point is next to a Starbucks too which is helpful to grab a coffee before the 1.5 hour journey. unfortunately we went on a very cloudy day and didn't see any of mount fuji. the hakone was quite fun and the outlet is really great for shopping. remember to bring your passport to get tax free. we also ate lunch at the outlet too. the journey home is around 3 hours so make sure you're prepared! overall pretty fun, well-organized day out.

I enjoyed on this activity as the trip was smooth and weather is perfect. I saw a lot of picturesque view. The group is also very considerate unlike my other experience on a group tour, most of the time we wait for late comers. In addition the tour guide is very accommodating and funny . thanks for great experience Domo Arigato

It all went very well - timeous departure (despite a number of no shows), comfortable bus, and nice guide with reasonable English.

The guide is very good and she did good job to go beyond. She helped us to catch our train afterwards. Thanks!

Friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Stunning sights, great food and good options for onsen and shopping.
