Giglio & Giannutri Islands Minicruise with Meal

1. Giglio & Giannutri Islands Minicruise with Meal

Depart at 9:45 AM from Porto Santo Stefano to discover two of the pearls of the Tuscan archipelago, the islands of Giglio and Giannutri. Explore a place ideal for marine lovers and divers alike. Don’t miss the visit to the village of Giglio Castello, ranked among the most beautiful villages in Italy.  See Giannutri, a small paradise with no cars or roads and no major tourism structures, in fact still dominated by the low Mediterranean scrub with its colors and scents. Villa Domizia was built in the first half of the second century A.D. by the Enobarbi, the imperial family that owned Giannutri. They spared no expense to build this residence with a breath-taking view of the coast.  Then visit Giglio island, characterized by its mainly granitic ground and by the typical Mediterranean vegetation, in part formed by man with terracing to allow cultivation of vines and olive trees. The coast, high and steep, is also generally jagged and interspersed with many rocks and a few bays. On the east side, see the coves of Porto, of Arenella and Cannelle, to the west see the long and wide beach of Campese. Enjoy a full meal of fish comfortably seated inside an eco-friendly cruise boat before you return at 6:30 PM.

Explore the Etruscan exhibition, curated by the renewed architect Italo Rota, where you will find various ancient artifacts from the Necropolis of San Germano. Then, proceed to the wine tasting portion of the tour. Taste 4 different wines, namely Vermentino, Ornello, Le Sughere di Frassinello, and Rocca di Frassinello, combined with typical Tuscan schiaccia (crunchy bread) in the modern Pavilion.

What people are saying about Grosseto

This mini-cruise was very nice. The staff and meal provided was excellent. The only reason I cannot give it a 5 star rating is because it was advertised as being offered in English, which is the option that I selected, however, the captain spoke Italian the entire time, so we had no idea what he was saying to his English speaking passengers about the islands, etc. That was very disappointing as I like to have as much information about what I'm seeing as possible. SUGGESTION...if they are not equipped to provide an English speaking Captain and are unable to interpret what they captain is saying they should have a recording that can be played highlighting all of the information the Captain provided in Italian.

Really unforgettable experience! A private guide walked us through the uniquely designed cantine and small museum. We were able to taste four wines and a specialty wine accompanied by a very detailed description. The views from the terrace were stunning while doing the tasting. A must do for wine-lovers and anyone traveling Tuscany! Definitely worth the price and journey. * Italian * Unforgettable experience thanks to a detailed private guide through the breathtaking winery. We tasted four +1 special wines on the terrace with a spectacular landscape. A must visit for wine lovers or for anyone visiting the Maremma.

First time at Giglio. Organized boat trip. What a horror! Alright'. I don't find anything else. Instead ... captain and friendly sailors, joy on board, education. All organized very well but managed with good-naturedness, lightly. Very pleasant! Excellent and abundant lunch. This is said by someone who eats out often. Giannutri first. Some free time. Dive into the sea if you like. Then Giglio. Even more free time. After lunch. Cala cinnamon twenty minutes on foot. Worth the ticket.

Perfect organization. Possibility to choose a guide for both islands directly on board. Maximum punctuality. Really great lunch (served hot and in record time to everyone). Very kind and very nice staff. Very nice and clean ship. Obviously the two islands are beautiful but it is a given. I absolutely recommend this experience!
