What people are saying about Granada

Visiting this exhibit was a very sobering experience. I was already fairly aware of what went on during the years of the Spanish Inquisition, but seeing the implements of torture up close and personal, and reading the detailed history and explanations was an experience that I think everyone should have. I was hesitant to bring my 12 year old son, but he insisted, and while he is mature enough to understand what he saw, it did affect him emotionally, so perhaps not for young children, but an experience I am glad to have had. Due to the seriousness of the exhibit, all of the visitors were respectfully silent, which added to the sombreness of the atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone interested in history and in finding out more about this dark time in history. On a happier note, the building is located in the historical heart of Granada, so there are lots of other things to do in the area after you get back out into the sunshine.

Excellent value for money to visit all of Granada… Everything of interest is included in the package, including the entire Alhambra (Nasrid palaces included). Only one QR code to present at each visit. There is even a 2-hour guided tour for a nocturnal discovery of Albaycin and Sacromonte… Be careful, it's on foot. , not always easy after a busy day…. But the pass is valid for 48 hours…. The only downside is having to pick up the pass at the agency in an area that is not very accessible by car... It would be better to be able to print it at home...

A fascinating, though disturbing, history of the tortures of the Inquisition and various civil authorities in the Middle Ages, and in some cases, even later. Aptly illustrates man’s inhumanity and the limitations of civilisation. The top floor has great views of the Alhambra.

Worth it. Small but very descriptive museum. You get a great impression of how people lived in these caves not so long ago and you can see from some of the still inhabited caves above the museum that there are still some poor people living in the caves.

Small but very impactful little museum. You will leave with a new appreciation for how cruel people can be! Definitely worth seeing to get a real understanding of how horrible the Inquisition was. Informative and well laid-out.
