Take an unforgettable walk through the knotted streets of the oldest city quarter of Granada, Albaicin. Feel the spirit of the past and find out about the medieval Moorish influence in the local architecture, cuisine, and culture. The Albaicin quarter was inhabited by the peasants of the last Moorish kingdom in western Europe. Learn about their strict daily routine of trade, hygiene, praying, and education, and the high level of development all of these aspects achieved during your tour. After meeting with your tour guide, your tour will begin by exploring Plaza de San Nicolas. This most popular look-out point of the city offers splendid views over the biggest tourist attraction of the city, the Alhambra. After spending 10 minutes taking in this captivating view, your tour will move on. The second site visited on your tour will be Dar al-Horra. This 14th-century Moorish palace is a hidden gem of your tour, and you will be given 25 minutes to explore its features. You will then stop at El Banuelo, which is one of the oldest monuments in the entire city, and was formerly a bathhouse. Following this, you will advance towards Alcaiceria, which is a medieval Moorish market place. Following the market place, stop off at Corral del Carbon, which is a 14th-century hotel. Towards the end of your tour, you will visit Casa de Zafra, which is a charismatic 14th-century Moorish house. After spending 25 minutes at this location, you will travel to the city center which will mark the conclusion of your tour.
